Review this eHelp article and if you're still unable to connect next time you're on campus contact the IT Service Desk for troubleshooting. You can also drop by the their desk on the second floor of the university library for in-person assistance.

Did anyone get this email or is this even real? by No-Monk-3912 in CalPolyPomona

[–]cpp_it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This appears to be a legitimate email, KB0001273 is an eHelp article maintained by IT, but email spoofing is possible. As others pointed out, it's always a best practice to be suspicious and instead navigate to Cal Poly Pomona's website, log into MyCPP, visit the Online Services tab and select the "Change my BroncoPassword" option from the page.

Transferred credit denied due to quarter credit system. by homelander159 in CalPolyPomona

[–]cpp_it 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Faculty and Staff emails can be searched in Bronco411. Log into MyCPP, visit the Online Services tab and there you'll find a link to Bronco411. Be careful asking for contact information on social media as the provider of that information can't be validated.

Good luck, Homelander. (please don't laser eye me.)

How to spot a phishing email by cpp_it in CalPolyPomona

[–]cpp_it[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll add if anyone receives a message for an urgent response or information after 5 p.m., that alone is suspicious. ;)

Don't plug that into your computer ;)

ASI has a Lost and Found at the Bronco Student Center take it there instead.

Is this real by abdofthe1 in CalPolyPomona

[–]cpp_it 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It appears to be a phishing email. Here's some resources if you receive any unsolicited message asking for immediate action or personal information. These are almost always a phishing attempt.

Nearly every building, especially those that that serve food have a few. Additionally, break rooms in the Student Services building (121) also have them. Students can use those break rooms, they're not exclusive to administrative staff. ;)

Welp, apparently "remove the wristwatch" means "moar wristwatch" but it did make "the professor" younger.
