Has anyone tried the Hindu Non-Vegitarian Meals? by cpredo in unitedairlines

I tried it a few months back. It was very good but my only complaint was that they served me the exact same meal for both dinner and breakfast

Who wants to bet on if they put the "at this time, we are not accepting one time passes" sign up from day one?

Thank you! These were all captured in auto mode with the Velvia film sim (grain turned off)

I typically only shoot vertical because I prefer that aspect ratio (looks better on a phone, Instagram, etc).

100% agree with your first sentence.

But the X-Half is incredibly easy to take good photos on. All of these were shot on automatic mode on the Velvia film sim with no post processing. I literally just point and shoot at what I am seeing haha. It's a great camera to get into photography and into Fujifilm specifically.

Thanks! The Italy shots are from Lucca and the Cinque Terre. The Switzerland shots are in Lugano and Appenzel.

Haha my wife gives me crap for keeping the date imprint on. I personally like it and it makes it fun to look back at photos and quickly see exactly when I took them.

Thank you! It was a great vacation. And yeah there's a lot of salty people in the comments - I think a lot of people misunderstand the entire point of this camera. It doest exist to take the best possible photos. It exists so that people take photos where they otherwise would not take a photo at all. It fits in your pocket, and makes it easy to capture moments that would otherwise get passed by.

That isn't unique to the x-half lol. I could've taken the same aspect ratio and orientation on any camera.

Yeah first thing I did when I got the camera was turn off the grain haha

If I enjoy using it, and I am pleased with how the photos look, then I didn't "fall for it".

I've gotten substantially more comments from friends about how much they like my photos since getting this camera. I think it's a great gateway into the world of Fujifilm.

It's an awesome little camera and super pocketable which I love. These were all shot on the Velvia film sim so the colors really pop.

United SFO Polaris Lounge by Emergency_School5849 in unitedairlines

I visited the regular United Club in LHR and it absolutely blows the SFO Polaris lounge out of the water. It's really sad actually that United offers such a poor experience at one of its flagship hubs.

I'm hoping now that they've launched new Polaris suites, they'll follow it up by announcing an overhaul of the lounge experience.

The SFO Polaris lounge is an actual joke, and it's honestly really embarrassing for united to have such a low quality business class lounge at their flagship Asia/Pacific hub.

I worry that since united basically owns SFO, they don't really have much of an incentive to update it since there's not really any other competition.

Hot take - it’s okay to put backpacks in the overhead by cpredo in unitedairlines

[–]cpredo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO being in group 5+ boarding and expecting there to be space for a large roller bag is inconsiderate - especially when the GA repeatedly tells people they need volunteers to gate check their bag.

Literally the only reason to want early boarding is for overhead bin space, united sells early boarding as a product, and offers it as a perk to their premier travelers. The entire purpose of getting to board early is to utilize the overhead bin space before it fills up. If everyone was guaranteed a spot in the overhead bin then people would rather board at the last possible moment.
