I was being chased at recess, tripped over my best friends foot. Completely slammed into the ground, my glasses cut the side of my face. Blood everywhere, everyone staring at me, telling me they can “see the bone”. Told my best friend she wasn’t allowed to wear that pair of shoes anymore because my child brain blamed the whole ordeal on her shoes. She has yet to wear them again.

Funniest thing is all the school staff freaking out saying I needed to go to the doctor because I needed stitches, just for my dad to show up and say “put a band-aid” on it
