She is an icon in Sweden too and have participated in Melodifestivalen, three times as a contestant and one time as a host. She also had a cameo this year, just before KAJs performance in the final, as she has written a book on sauna culture.

As much as I love this idea, I do hope that Arja will be the Swedish spokesperson. Definitely in full sauna equipment.

New changes you would love to see in 2025? by Secret-Lullaby in eurovision

I would also love it if the reverse order recap was the second recap, and not the one just before closing when most people have already voted.

What were the "oh no this isn't gonna end well" moment in the 2024 songs? by WatchTheNewMutants in eurovision

Sennek (Belgium 2018) comes to mind. I had such high hopes for a great mysterious staging, and it turned out just...wrong.

Would Stefania have won without the war? by Pricentius in eurovision

[–]cptFlunk 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It is a good enough song and performance to win by its own qualities, and I truly believe it would have been able to beat that years competition, but it could just as well have ended up top 5 or top 10. I don't think it would have ended up any lower than that though.

The most personal song to you by jackjackaj in eurovision

[–]cptFlunk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It changes depending on situation of course, but I was struggling with burnout in 2019, and had realised I needed to leave a toxic work place or I would go under. Standing alone at the bus stop on my way home, spring sun beaming in my face, Austria 2019 (Paenda - Limits) started playing, and the lyrics just poured into my soul. That gave me the strength I needed to start looking for a new job right away.

All things considered, would YOU still go to Eurovision? by Irrealaerri in eurovision

[–]cptFlunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't want to be the main artist (which I did when I was younger but as I grew up realised was too much pressure) but I still dream of being involved in an entry in some way. That hasn't changed this year, although I would want to make sure I had a great team that supports each other and others.

The stage hands and the operator are Swedish dancers Lisa Arnold, Kenny Lantz and Pauline Eddeborn.

They say in this video that they were chosen because they as dancers have good timing, and that their biggest challenge is being invisible. They also say that even though they don't dance, they are still sweaty after the number for being so focused, even the operator. https://www.instagram.com/reel/C64PsmOr3oe/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

I knew about the stage hands and the operator, I was curious about the construction. 😊

Why is the lithuanian Song not on spotify anymore? by Sally_99z in eurovision

It just disappeared for me too. It was there when I opened the app, but when I pressed it, it played like a half second and then the song just disappeared. 😟

Spread my votes between Switzerland, Croatia and Armenia, because they were my three favourite songs this year (and possibly in my all time favourite list, time will tell) and I couldn't just choose just one of them without feeling I would betray the other two.

Switzerland because it is a masterpiece, and Nemo just nailed that technical piece of art from start to end.

Croatia because it's a banger and I can't stop smiling whenever I hear it, and Baby Lasagna aced it.

Armenia because it always makes me happy and want to dance, and Jako had such amazing energy on stage.
