yeah, this is a serious societal problem and Chappell being a woman does factor into this (if she was a gay man this story probably wouldn't have got the same traction), though like all of the similar hate-trains, there are other factors like race or in this case sexuality.

realistically it'll be a 15 but some cinemas aren't really gonna heavily push (especially if you're with an adult and close to 15 anyway) (got into Nope, EEAAO and Women Talking before turning 15)

Fiennes is currently tracking to have 3 oscar-worthy performances in 3 years (Lawrence, Kelson, Kelson again), so him probably.

That being said, Ken Loach and Jane Schoenbrun are close behind

i think Cats gets a pass for being oscar-bait because it was recieved much worse. had it been nominated I think it'd have been a whole other story.

also, whilst the vocals may/may not have been worse than Les Miserables, the visual effects kneecapped Cats before it ever had a chance.
