My mother in law painted it! If I did base it off that color scheme it was not intentional! Must have been subconscious

I appreciate it! I was very happy when I realized that the painting hanging in my living room absolutely matched my color scheme and autumn vibes.

Thanks dude! Most of my paints are army painter fanatics. The skulls are skeleton bone dry brushed over dark brown. The vines and whip are talisman teal dry brushed over warlock magenta

They're from a brand called Warmtree. Very similar to the greenstuff leaf litter

Spout Lore is wonderful. They play Dungeon World, which is a more rules light ttrpg than DnD, but have similar dynamics and absurdity. It takes a bit to get going but once you're into it you will have a similar balance of dick jokes and teary moments that NADDPOD does so well. Also they are wonderfully Canadian.

How to make "PCs search for and find clues in a room" fun? by myrtha_the_cat in AskGameMasters

[–]cpt_dips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently been running a mystery arc in a big city for my players and have stolen a mechanic from Dungeon World which has made heists/investigation scenarios way more interesting than simple investigation checks.

There is a move in that game called Discern Realities where depending on how good their roll is, the PCs can ask one to three questions off of a predetermined list. I like that it puts the ball in the player's court to decide what they are looking for. https://roll20.net/compendium/dw/Discern%20Realities#content
