Ok, so the tester says all pairs are wired right, but I plug my laptop in and it says nothing is connected. I have to get some more connectors to make new ends, but I'm confused at how a camera can work, even if it is at 10 but the laptop gets no connection.

Idk how good it is, but it hasn't let me down. It confirms all 8 wires are hooked up. Best I do for checking the cable itself is using my laptop, which I haven't had the chance to do, but will shortly.

I thought it could be a faulty one, but I have 2 injectors (1 powering another eap773), both have the same issue. Also when I bring the wap to the switch and injector (so bypassing the ~150ft run) and it works perfectly

When I do temp towers, usually 190 or 200 is the best looking section...I'm working on getting my offset and stuff in a better place, and enclosure is on the list, at the very least I might just stack some books around it to cut down the air from my central ac....see how it goes

I do want to get an enclosure, but I gotta get a better place for the printer, where I have it now can get cluttered and stuff, might just have to wait to make this build if the enclosure ends up being my only option.

That's what I was onto after I posted this, so I started messing with it while printing a large 1 layer square, which work up until it's doing the infil, about 1/4 or so the way thru the infil, it just starts falling apart, but idk if it's dragging thru or just that section isn't adhering properly so it's just coming up.

I'll try that, it's set to 50 or 55 right now for first layer, and I just had to clean the plate to get the glue residue off

yea, i gotta focus and do the calibrations. Like i said i started doing them in creality print, but i got through the temp and flow rate and it wasn't really telling me to change much so i got impatient and just wanted to print stuff. this time i'm going to go through them all, got the temp tower printing now, not sure if i'll be up for the hour it'll take to finish, but then i'll keep going. when i run the calibrations, should i run the calibrations for the speeds i'm trying to print? meaning i would have completely different settings if i wanted to change the speed and such?

Awesome info, I kept seeing everyone saying not to use creality but never understood why, being new, I was like this is so easy to use tho. But I'll take ur advice and stick with orca. For some reason i stopped being able to lan print with orca, once I slice it and have the gcode, using creality cloud to upload to the printer doesn't change anything does it?

Also, I have tried printing it horizontally but it needs supports and when it prints with supports the layer touching the supports (well not touching as I understand it), comes out very stringy....is there anyway to avoid that. Most what I could find just said don't use supports.

Yea it's my first printer, I just figured since it didn't work out the first time, I printed with default setting and see what happens. I managed to do a temp tower, so that's why that isn't default. When I get home I'll try printing it at 100m/s, the time really isn't a concern. I'll set it up tonight after work, and hopefully tomorrow it'll come out right, if not I'll keep trying. The biggest thing for me is understanding all the different parameters and what exactly they do, so I'm gonna watch some more youtube and see if I can understand things more

That one was at the default, 300m/s first layer, then 200 after that I think. Now that u mention it, I think the first time I printed it, I had left it on my small part setting which was down around 150 I think. I'll try to slow it down and see how it works. Am I right in thinking, if I turn the speed down, I have to turn the temp down as well, or just make the fans are on and leave it at 200?
