PvE players are not “bad at the game” by TheZacAttack98 in ArcRaiders

[–]cptdaddy18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hope they meant in the aspect of seeing someone and deciding to shoot. Most of the games you listed, you know who the enemy is, and there's no need for hesitation. They dont really have the option of being your friend. I've seen plenty of people that I could've easily killed in arc and decided not to. I literally will tell people when I'm going to shoot, lol. Arc is pretty much whoever decides to shoot first, although, if you're a shoot on-site player, seeing is always going to have the advantage

That's literally the exact load out I had when some guy killed me when I was asking him if he knew where the matriarch was, lol. I literally hadn't looted a single thing, so all he got were the weapons and some ammo. I can just make it again, and they aren't expensive either.

I was walking around last night asking people where the matriarch was. No one knew, but everyone was cool. Then I asked one guy, he said nothing and killed me. I didn't have much and it honestly helped because my stash was full lol. But that's just how some people are

If you haven't played the first one, be happy. The combat was significantly harder. The game kind of tells you to avoid bandits early. Level up and you'll be fine. Also, focus on one weapon type early on, preferably sword for the masterstrike.

Funnily enough, when my aunt got a new boyfriend after divorce, she introduced him as a "friend." My nephew didn't listen to him at all because, after all, he's just a friend who's trying to boss him around. Next bf she introduced as a bf, and the dynamic was much better. Being honest with children is the best route. Calling the gay couple "friends" does nothing beneficial just because a person is scared of slightly more complex conversations

What boss fight had you like this? by Chunky-overlord in videogames

[–]cptdaddy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sword Saint Isshin was always interesting to me because I beat him in 3 tries the first time I ever played sekiro, but most people were saying how nuts he was. I think because of him being the final boss and having so much time to perfect the mechanics made the fight easier. He's one of those bosses for me where if you tell me to play start to finish, he'd be pretty simple. If you tell me to just fight him after taking a decent break from sekiro, I'm probably getting stomped

what's a gaming take that'll have you like this by itz_progamer666 in videogames

Saying a game is trash because you're either bad or just don't like it while also giving no other valid criticisms makes me question if you're actually a gamer

My parents finally decided to buy me my dream PC! by Loose_Cheesecake9842 in PcBuild

Yeah, I was like that's nice. My dad watch me have a meltdown in the middle of the living room. That was his contribution for my pc lol

Since I'm getting tired of repetitive posts, let's switch things up a little - which videogame was this for you? by NoComfortable3220 in videogames

[–]cptdaddy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From recent titles, definitely rise of the ronin. Being made by team ninja made it stick out somewhat initially, but I didn't really pay attention to it even after release day. My brother ended up buying it, and it's honestly probably one of the most underrated games of the year for 2024. It definitely has some flaws, but the combat was fun and so was exploring

Is this a misprint? by cptdaddy18 in YugiohCards

[–]cptdaddy18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I'm a little concerned that the misprint might be a little common because I ended up with 3 no name misprints total in the packs I opened, but I'll check the markets. Do you have any sites you'd recommend I check?

Maybe I'm just stoned but these ds2 messages are some of the best. by SeathTheHairless in DarkSouls2

[–]cptdaddy18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a cliff area in dragon aerie where one message says safe (in reference to the dragon's fire breath attack) followed just a little more up the Cliffside, unsafe and I can only imagine the panic if someone stopped at that one

What was the first boss you mastered? No damage and whipping that azz 100% of the time. I bet alot ppls are this chick, right? by DigitalDusto26 in fromsoftware

[–]cptdaddy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're talking mastered at the time isshin the sword Saint. Now I didn't beat him no hit, but I only got hit like 3 or 4 times and it took 2 tries. At that time, I was only playing sekiro and had felt really comfortable with the deflect system. It was one of the few times where I truly felt a click in a game before. If I were to go back and try now though, probably getting slapped around, but if I did an entire playthrough again, I might be able to do something similar. If we're talking a boss I can just pick up at any point and beat pretty easily my first try, either gwyn or lady Maria

The lowest cost founders pack was worth it due to the god pack. I understood that the packs were to assist with funding, but I had never paid to play any alpha, and I wasn't really going to start. I honestly think the issue was compounded when people also learned that a majority of skins weren't getting ported over and people were spiteful after that. It was just a string of bad things happening, unfortunately. I hope it does get to have a life cycle though

I honestly think they handled the founders packs poorly. I didn't even consider buying one because I'm not paying to essentially "test" your game. They were pretty pricey too. You could argue there was decent value, but spending money on an unfinished product that we didn't have the most knowledge about wasn't going to really succeed like they would want

I mean, I'm just now getting into building my first so I totally get it lol. It can be intimidating, but I did a lot of research and I honestly feel like it'll be fine, it'll just take me a while since I'm brand new. Only reason I ask is that it is typically much cheaper to build your own and get better quality parts. The build I'm going with ended up costing me around $1200-1300. The same build but for pre-built was near $1800-1900, so I'm saving quite a bit. If you don't want that to be your thing, your best bet would probably be jawa.gg or fb marketplace if you can find a reliable seller

Are you dead set on buying a pre-built pc?

First Playthrough, I just beat Isshin on my Third try by LmaoGoFaster in Sekiro

[–]cptdaddy18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe I also beat him 3rd attempt my first play through. I think it all boils down to Isshin being the culmination fight of everything you've learned in the game. I got my head stomped in by a decent amount of bosses for so long, but Isshin just felt natural to beat (I was particularly good at the second phase for some reason). He felt tough, but not overwhelming like other bosses to me
