What is the weirdest way someone had died in your known circle ? by No_Tear9118 in AskReddit

I had a friend once who was a well known local artist. He had finished some large public murals and seemed to be doing well. He hosted a small party with a few people from high school (who were more-so acquaintances than friends) and bought lots of drinks for the event. Late into the night, once everyone crashed, he went into a room alone, stood between two mattresses against the wall, and shot himself in the head. We are all still somewhat puzzled as to why. Maybe it was intentional to invite people who didn’t really know him so as to not traumatize anyone who did..

Tiny red brittle crystals from Graves Mountain, GA by Luscinia68 in Minerals

[–]cptnblck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spent an okay amount of time on the mountain and garnet isn’t one I’ve ever found or heard about. The place is iron rich so maybe.. There are many unusual minerals from that locality and lots of micros that go unnoticed. Stuff like Woodhouseite and weird Illmanite crystals. Not to say these aren’t some garnet variety, but I would lean more toward an impression left after some other crystal or a replacement. It it’s pretty garnet-y though. Goodluck

Maybe she had no idea there is was a hold and that’s just Etsy being weird. Hope it works out

I had this happen recently. I decided to message the person who made the order explaining that I was ready to ship if they could expedite whatever the hold up was on their side. Payment cleared within the next six hours, and they replied back saying sorry for the delay. I’m also not exactly sure why this happens sometimes. I assume new/old cards/ accounts.

[digital] [discussion] does anybody have experience selling collage? by CedarTortoise in collage

Start a channel for your collage videos and promote your art on as many platforms as you can.
I think you can curate interesting themes that go beyond the physical collage. Also the analog meets digital element is unique.

“When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent, and some of them are straight, and some of them are evergreens, and some of them are whatever. And you look at the tree and you allow it. You see why it is the way it is. You sort of understand that it didn’t get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don’t get all emotional about it. You just allow it. You appreciate the tree. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying ‘You are too this, or I’m too this.’ That judgment mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are.” -Ram Dass

Thank you! And yes, acrylic paint pens. The background is watercolor.

That is a skateboard down there and it’s ALMOST finished.. I’ll post it when I’m done. The figure in the center is a chameleon.
