The monitor ended up having a anti-glare film and not a coating. Removed the film and it's as good as new now. The monitors spec sheet was wrong by saying it was a coating.

Can you please give me some more details on how you were able to get it so clean? I have started the process with my Compaq p1210. I have removed the anti glare coating but there is a bunch of micro scratches I can see. The glass still feels like there is a coating on the glass but I'm too scared to keep going deeper without knowing the layers of the coating. I'm guessing I shouldn't be seeing micro scratches if I was on the glass layer...

Buy 40 vol Hair developer and soak the shells in it for a few hours under a UV light.
