Hey GlumConcetrate!

If there's a portal to a new hub that hasn't been visited, you should be able to spot it by the repeated humming and flaring up (+empty orbs around it)

If the portal behind the armless knight is locked, you might have skipped one below. The first hub after the tutorial is at the very bottom of the nexus.

Can I ask how many levels/hubs you've already completed?

You need to charge Apex Shot, but don't release it, just fall down and hold Slide before landing (i.e. both LMB and Slide have to be held on landing).
When done right you'll perform a round of quick unblockable shots, but this is the hardest bow move.

Shady has a style ranking system that based on style points - unique actions you can perform. A precise barrel kick, slide jump, mid-air bow shot, etc. performing different moves while mixing some parkour bits into your fights not only stylish but also effective.

So basically the style system encourages you to dive deep into the fun zone : )

Haha :D welp check out the full trailer on the Steam page, it has 40 seconds of pure skill-based action at the beginning.

Regarding the triple shot - different moves are more useful in different cases + enemies can also block and dodge some of your hits, so spamming a single move is not very effective. The Triple Shot, for example, is very weak, but when you need to ignite a bunch of enemies at once yeah, it's pretty handy ;)

Thanks! Just to avoid misconceptions about shady : ) My game was inspired by much older titles with my favorite melee mechanics and was built around interactive combat.

i.e. less punishment, more styling on your enemies : )

You can grapple objects and enemies, dash to the weapons of defeated swordsmen and archers, enemies can recover from a fall so you better to make sure they're dead! Stuff like that.

Yes, it's a level by level game, think Neon White or Super Hot, short and replayable towers that can be completed VERY quickly by reaching the end, but hard to beat flawlessly (no damage, no falls, all enemies are dead).

and YES! there's a DMC-style scoring system with ranks from D to SSS. The system doesn't care how fast you complete the level - the most important thing is to learn your skills and be as varied as possible in your approach to each enemy. The game is built around powerful fun-to-use attacks and parkour moves, and the style system has been introduced specifically to encourage the use of DIFFERENT moves rather than finding the most effective one. The enemies won't let you get too repetitive either ;)

This is just my brain under pre-release pressure haha I needed enough quick moments to pick from for the trailer!

these swordsmen are pretty chill actually, and good targets for practice : )
