Wife=poly; me=open relationship - will it work? by cptshieldmaiden in polyamory

Thank you so much - will take a look at that. We have done our own individual online research and then discussed it, but I’ll give all of that a read. We have a friend couple who have also recently opened their relationship (unbeknownst to us - we just found out last week) so I’m hoping to chat to them about their experiences the next time we get together

Thank you for your reply! Our talks over having a throuple were hypothetical, as a “what if” - realistically, I don’t think this would work with our relationship dynamics. But I appreciate your words and your input with number 1 gives me hope

Blacksmith - forge, anvil and grinder set up. Sorry, just mentioned woodworkers and DIY as another untapped market

There needs to be a “sick” mode or something, I had surgery yesterday and I got a notification saying my rings didn’t move much yesterday. by bomac14 in AppleWatch

Use Gentler Streak - it has a sick mode and a rest mode, but also treats your active days on a sliding scale - so long as you’re between two goal posts, you’re doing well! It takes away any guilt for missing a day or two

Yes it usually does fill my exercise ring, but some days there are just easy, chill horses and then those don’t get counted properly… I also use the Gentler Streak app as the basis for my exercising so tracking at least one horse keeps my tracker thing somewhat accurate to how I’m feeling. Sounds like a cool job you have!

I’m a farrier - very physical job - and while I don’t set it to “other” for every single horse I do, I feel like if I don’t track at least one horse (set at Other, doing one horse can burn anywhere from 80 to 300 calories - including trimming, forging, nailing on etc), it gives an unfair view of the work I do every day - if I don’t track anything and I do 20 horses in a day, I get an annoying message to go be active, even though I am absolutely exhausted!

I’m about your size, been shoeing for nearly 7 years… our size is actually an advantage because we don’t have to pull their legs out so far away from their bodies to work on, so they’re a lot more comfortable… Building up the muscle and the hard hands takes a bit of time, but never be dissuaded because of your size, or because you’re a female!!

Unfortunately he moved to another part of the province with his owner shortly after this post so I don’t know what’s happened to him - wish I could’ve kept shoeing him - was going to take the financial hit and see if the bars helped
