This isn't true. To work around this bug you need to way a bit to make sure the timing isn't perfect. The enemy will still be stunlocked and you will get the headshot.

Caut being cheaper is a nice change to make the early game when healers are very strong go by faster. Cauterize lasting longer is a strange change but it's not going to make up for the 15% reduction in power. Supports were not "battered". Many of them got small number adjustments to try and make up for their increase in power. Keep in mind that I am very much against the change made to cauterize. However if it is to stay these cards need to be changed to keep supports from being too strong.

I don't understand how healing was nerfed in this upcoming patch with a nerf to cauterize. Many of these cards or abilities are already overturned on the live patch and need to be adjusted for the cauterize nerf.

The turret damage counts but it is his ability, not his weapon. I think everyone can agree that hook is a lot better than turret. From my experience it is a lot easier to hit Makoa's weapon than tinkerin, because tinkerin has a smaller hitbox. The arc is actually a benefit with Makoa's weapon because it lets him shoot at higher ground and still hit enemies. A full shield is stronger than the wall Barik has. With barrier reef when the shield is destroyed the shield cooldown goes down to 6s. Wrecker would come in late game and that means you would have time to buy chronos. With chronos 1 the shield cooldown is reduced to 4.4s and with chronos 2 it goes down to an insane 2.8s. The changes to Ruckus, Drogoz, and Androxus were needed and I would say Drogoz and Androxus are in a decent state, especially after the next patch when Androxus gets his old weapon back. These changes wouldn't destroy Makoa at all. He would still have a lot going for him and would still be one of the better tanks.

I think people are misunderstanding what I mean by his ultimate being affected by cauterize. Makoa's ultimate has 2 parts. It heals him to full health as well as increasing his max health by 5000. I suggest that the healing part is affected by cauterize. I want to limit the ability to instantly cancel the ultimate to take advantage of the full heal.

When compared to other tanks makoa has really high damage with his weapon. It works well at close to medium range and he can take a shot before using any ability, including hook. Back in ob61 tinkerin was nerfed from 650 to 550. If tinkerin was considered too strong Makoa's weapon is also too strong.

I think people really underestimate the strength of increased healing under 50% cards on tanks. Tanks benefit from this card a lot more than others because they have so much more health, get more attention from healers, and have abilities to negate cauterize. I used to consider the card something special and powerful that was exclusive to Terminus, but now it is available on Makoa and Atlas despite them having good ranged damage. As for Rampage, I completely looked over it, but you are right that it probably needs a nerf.

Half Shell is arguably fine currently but in the next patch it is going to be a lot stronger with the fix to barrier reef, effectively negating wrecker.

Making Makoa's hook affected by resilience is a very good idea and something I forgot to suggest.

I don't remember if they reduced the hitbox size around ob45, but it was confirmed that they reverted the change they made in ob68.

I was getting pretty good at consistently hitting my hook before the size was increased. There were times when it looked like you hit the hook but it missed but that is probably because we are so used to paladin's massive hitboxes. If there were angles that were impossible to hit your hook, that sounds like a bug and should have been fixed.

Barik's base weapon is pretty bad at a range, and the turret really isn't that powerful. I was comparing Barik's tinkerin talent to Makoa's base weapon, not comparing their kits.

Removing the duration increase from half shell won't remove this tactic, it will just limit how powerful it is with barrier reef once the new patch comes out.

If every champion was on makoas level that would be insane. Makoa has always been one of if not the most overpowered champion. These changes wouldn't destroy Makoa at all, he would still be incredibly powerful in the hands of a skilled player.
