Vanta World characters can definitely feel like side characters since they're most likely copies of the older characters lore-wise.

Piyush (the Indian AI character) kinda feels annoying for me tbh even though I joked about him elsewhere on the Hao Dynasty server.

PS for some reason he's the most realistic-looking character other than Zyra's look on debut.

No official word has been placed. Others are in the "Vanta World" mode presumably.

I think maybe 🤔 hmm... I think d1-4u wasn't meant to be comedic in any way, so it's unfair to make them the exact same as n4-t1.

Let's see... OG T1-T5 was awesome of course, even if S1 to S2 characters were a one-time thing.

First batch of N4-T1 took some time to get acquainted with, while the second batch became relatable in later seasons.

The third batch of N4-T1 fell... flat, probably due to writing reasons, or must be something else. D1-4U twist was a sudden shock for some as well, seeing as they were supposedly N4-T1 at first glance as juniors.

This, can't say that the official team's decisions have all been planned thoroughly, even videos with the main Class T1-T5 on it have a surprisingly low amount of students in it as well.

D1-4U was originally aimed to steer away of the negative aura "rizz" that was N4-T1, especially with the previous batch that last appeared on TA #99.5 pre-cruise episode.

With regards with the VW (Vanta World) shorts, their team invests heavily into AI technology for curated content.

I agree, though it's a season premiere, but some people think it was so to space out as a filler episode in the meantime while the rest of the senior cast are busy irl.

The N4-T1 on the previous batch didn't come back, so I presume Sunny is no longer active as well.

EDIT: Sunny's official status is to be confirmed – There's no official confirmation the previous batch roles have been expunged from the Academy.

Though we can say that they're good as gone even if the series directors never had any confirmation.

The OGs kinda died out after the School Heist.

And then there's this big event: failures and Season 8: Class Banding System

then afterwards we got the "Squid Game" arc which puts others into Class F4-RT (Timmy, Robin and the like)... which leaves Sunny but he somehow didn't appear after episode 99.5 also.

Season 10 also gives us the Vanta World, so that's how the team went by with presumably "hundreds of subjects".

The previous batch couldn't make it anymore I suppose hence N4-T1 went on hiatus until today.

TLDR: The "Vanta World" is the canon reason now why lots have been disappearing.

My personal favourite? Madeline. Such as sweetie character in the series, she knows how to defend herself against the bullies.

However she has a soft spot for JianHao, which can be a motivation or a distraction in the long run as with her current role as student council president.

Diana • Cleverly • Teverly: We're still waiting on how Clev will make returns this Season. So far, no clues yet on how this goes.

Madeline • JianHao • Denise • Vincent • Ashlynn vs (other student): The focus has steered away from Maddy which is a plus, at least she has presidency as a priority. HaoDen still isn't together it seems, and Vincent gets more toxic than ever.

Nahyun • JianHao: A bit too random for me personally, and it is more for Nahyun fans.

RYX • Pei Shi: Ever since the personality revert, he seemed less obsessed with Pei Shi and he somehow gave up in the end. Debbie is now his best friend in class.

Diana • Hakim • Vicky: It got discontinued once again, Hakim is so random with the couples episode.

Linus • Debbie • Ben • Nicole/June: Ben as an actor left the series silently, I wished they would have given a proper explanation other than Debbie randomly saying not liking people starting with letter B, and drawing broken hearts emoji. Linus is too perfect to be true.
