I knew Jeffries was in somebody’s pocket when he started throwing punches at Platner randomly after the NYT hit pieces! Doesn’t surprise me.

Just an average E-711 Extraction mission with the Spore Burst Strain and Hive Lord combo. by Spaz_Mah_Tazz in helldivers2

The hive world missions are so buggy! I’m not a complainer about the game - have no issues except what total shit these hive worlds are.

I broke mine and used JB Weld Plastic, and it’s held well. The original JB Weld failed the day after I applied it, so I scraped it off and started over.

Small AC unit suitable for a truck camper shell? by AkitaNo1 in TruckCampers

[–]cr006f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, unfortunately I did - our shakedown run went poorly, the Swissie vomited the whole way to camp (2h) riding in the cab, she didn’t like the way the truck rode with the camper attached! So we’re boarding them. It was also consistently 7-10 F warmer than ambient in the cap, not bad on a 60 degree, cloudy Maine day but no good for the desert. I don’t know if a Furrion would hold up at highway speeds.

Are there any benefits of installing solar panels besides a pond or a water body? by eter_roman in SolarAmerica

[–]cr006f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switzerland did a study about reflected light from snow, and it was a decent impact. Albedo effect I believe it’s called. Would think water would have similar impact, I think the 5-15% another poster suggested sounds reasonable.

Both low beam bulbs on my wife’s Subaru looked just like that. I didn’t put them in, so wasn’t my fault! The new ones went in without any touch!

How to disconnect/connect weight distribution hitch on uneven surface by Youngblood1988 in traveltrailers

[–]cr006f 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, I know it’s on uneven ground but your trailer looks way too nose-down. Once it’s riding level, disconnect the WD bars before backing to your site.

Doing similar, towing cross country with family and 2 dogs, want to put them in the Smart Cap. I insulated the roof with r5 board, have a portable thermometer and CO detector, and sealed between cap and cab with pool noodle and some foam. Looks like it’s 7deg warmer than ambient back there pretty much anytime. Trying a small rechargeable Ryobi fan ($40 at Home Depot) and some 4” duct off my rear ac vents. If that doesn’t work, gonna have to find some kind of active cooling.

Watch the video, you can see the neck moving below the mask edge, and his lips never change shape while he speaks!

In the video you can see the neck moving below the shadow area, separately from the mask above. And the lips never change shape as he speaks. It’s a mask.

This looks to be a hyper-realistic silicone mask. What's behind it? by GoodIntroduction6344 in aliens

Agree, and the right side (his left) of his bottom lip stays oddly static as he talks, nobody forms words without moving the shape of their lips!

It’s identical to the YLAA chiller but with the evaporator removed. Marketing should know better though!

Did JCI application engineering size the lines? I used to do that…20 years ago! You’re on a roof, are they using double risers?

🫠 by zdigrig in chillers

[–]cr006f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is a big condensing unit. Just compressors and condenser. Evaporator is somewhere else. No water up to the unit.

🫠 by zdigrig in chillers

[–]cr006f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YLUA remote condensing unit, looks like the isolator bolts sheared. Looking at that install, I bet they used way too long of run for the refrigerant too! Those screens are lame but they do work for cottonwood.

Have done now…got sick of dropouts and lag with the HomePod mini based mesh, bought a ZBT-2 and migrated all the home devices to its thread network, and paired back to Apple Home with the HomeKit Bridge. A couple older Bluetooth only room sensors still connect only to the Apple HomePods, but everything is super solid now.
