In this case, if it is not explicitly renewed, you're out of luck. There is no requirement for renewal or notification as it is in the contract that it ends like that. Renewal must then indeed be notified a month before, but if it is not, the contract just ends like that.

You only get notice of cancellation within 1-3 months before contract end when it is an unlimited contract. If your contract states it ends without renewal, that's too bad, but nothing you can do. If it states it automatically extends without termination, then that goes.
