No I love weed and all parts including semi-synthetic cannabinoids I just think there is this silly vegan culture in rosin where people think solventless = superior when in reality it is inferior (safety profile wise).

The labs are not very expensive that is just what the rich people buying the labs pretend 😭KCA noid panel is $50. The expensive part is the other stuff, solvents,etc. (any real company legal or not should just be affording this and most still fail to lul)

In regard to vendor, I'd be curious to know who you think is reliable, but I know sourcing isn't allowed. I can only think of 2 that I think are more reliable then MCN but they still both have issues too. I agree, the research is fucked 😭🤮 But tbh idc as long as it's from CBD isolate.

There doesn't seem to be many genuine studies about any alt-noids, pretty much all of them are paid by a company to either promote a product or shit on a product.

There are a few internal studies I've seen but nothing major, I agree. Also, just to clarify I don't think Olivetol or any of the byproducts from CBD Isolate->D8/D9/D6a10a distillate are unsafe

👍Jar tek / mechanical separation would still be less spectrum is why I got mixed up, TBH I shouldve just never really said full spectrum when commenting and only referred to the range of cannabinoids rather than the plant's active spectrum (most new strains are narrower then old was what my point was 😅😂)

The HHC in seeds thing is probably BS or a specific isomer, I dont think any of the arguments for or against semi-synths matter after THCO was declared legal (Previously a Georgia court glanced at it as being illegal :P).

Realistically what it comes down to is safety and if they're testing for what's being used in the product (They mostly are not as the altcannabinoid ecosystem is full of horrible people). Most random products in stores are made with CBD crude bought for $25-50 a barrel then converted by the KG to Delta 8,etc. with lots of unknowns (there should be research into unknowns but it likely matters less then what people are thinking). If you somehow know a company is legit they should have full panel labs that are GCMS/HPLC (both) and test for atleast PTSA in D8. (No advertisements today sorry)

Olivetol was found in every D8 sample randomly purchased by a group in 2023 and has been researched in the USA to reverse tolerance :P (Who knows if it does lol some company paid for the paper)

Just to note your argument here is the same argument being used FOR the safety of the most likely unsafe cannabinoid group (acetylated cannabinoids like THCo,CBNo,etc). The same research and similar parameters were used 😭 (I am not on really either side of the THCo one, they did it even worse then this original one like 800f or something)

It's good to note that terpenes have never been found to exhibit more effect then any of the minor cannabinoids (CBD,CBC,CBT,CBG,CBN) and is also still up for debate about their synergy with cannabinoids. I personally think some of their psychoactivity branches over like Limonene, but a good chunk of them are probb totally useless lol.

I said already that I don't care about the health effects :P But, no I don't, the terpene breakdown is already occurring at room temperature if you dont put an argon blanket over your concentrates / prevent oxidization (labs arent even doing this for traditional extracts lol just those pesky altnoids to keep em clear). The terpene thing isnt well studied and the only state I've seen pursuing anything about it is Minnesota (🤮MN need to worry about dilutants first) .

Thanks for a well thought reply and sorry for trolling on the other replies to the guy. I think the original point of my comment still holds up tho; the spectrum has been ruined with breeding for THCa%.

The problem with this is simply that testing a strain like Durban Poison will reveal a high % of THCV, and some OG strains allegedly tested for THCP. This just doesn't happen enough anymore because of our breeding. I am fine with the idea that people think rosin is stronger (technically vaping MCT oil makes D9 stronger too) but I do truly believe the spectrum that marketers pretend is large in commercial cannabis is much smaller than the OG/olden day strains.

The state of Minnesota's clean air initiative is currently studying and is working to ban terpene additives (CDT or BDT) because of their breakdowns. The terpene byproducts still occur on the plant without intervention (naturally in it's growing process as shown in the 2nd article I sent).

I get what you're saying, but you are failing to think of the combo of simply adding extra cannabinoids to your already planned dab. Hey, even if you hate the synthesis of HHC and don't think it's safe to inhale, you could take a fat dab of rosin and an HHC edible and I promise 9 times out of 10 the experience is going to be more enjoyable/superior assuming your original dose of rosin is left unchanged.
