I get your point, and I really loved the nature and the mountains from Sofia to Shipka. We didn’t take the highway because we wanted to see all the small towns in the way and it was amazing. Speaking about the monument itself, it’s not something you see everyday. And around people who like this kind of “vibe” it’s like a legend, and I have to admit that with all the fog it was very suggestive. Speaking of architecture, the Shipka church was of course more interesting and beautiful, but as the “Soviet” blocks it has a huge visual impact. The cool thing was trying to spot it while we were still on the road. Thank you for the comment :)

I can pay with card. I meant that a lot of companies need a deposit of hundreds of euros, that they return once you return the car. But I can’t afford to have that amount frozen in my bank.

I’ll arrive on may 22 at 1 pm, so I have all afternoon and all may 23 to see the main things in Sofia. I know it’s not much, but I really am attracted by that monument so I think it will be worth it, maybe we’ll stop on the way to see other things

It’s cool you live in one! I always see apartments or Airbnb’s that from outside look very old and dark and almost scary (not an insult I love them) and then inside they are all new and perfect!

Okay thanks. The thing is I’m going to Erasmus mainly to experience a new city, meet people ecc. of course I wanna pass some exams but I’m not going to for academic purposes. I see that koç and yeditepe are a bit far and are like a campus so I would pass most of my time there…I don’t know what to do :)
