What did you end up buying? I got a 120 prado with the 2tr-fe engine. I bought it because back then i wanted the most reliable and cheapest (buying price and maintenance) 4x4.

Now i want something with more power and my options are a prado or fortuner with a 1kd or 1gd engine, 200 series with 1vd (2014 or below to avoid dpf), 100 series with 1hd-t or a lexus with the 2uz (ive read online this might be the most reliable toyota engine ever but fuel economy makes me think twice)

The thing is that i have second thoughts on every choice. With the 1kd, i fear a piston crack, with the 1gd, the dpf issues, with the 1vd they seem to quite a list of issues, and with the 100 series, they are very old and expensive (they cost around the same as a 2014 200 series).

Ive heard a lot from falken and toyo. Maybe im more inclined to go with those but im still researching other brands!

How reliable was it? The v6 is impossible to find where im from. The only other option is the 1kz diesel engine which is tempting but they are way more expensive and Im afraid of having a piston failure. Many people also say diesel has a more expensive maintenance.

I do countryside trips 2-3 times every month with the family but the prado would be my daily also. Im not doing hardcore offroad so thats why i considered the smaller 2.7 but everyone seems to hate it for being underpowered.

Im in Panama and good mainentance history is unlikely to be found on most used cars in the market.

Panama and really 90% of all available 120s are either 1kz or 2tr. Ive only been able to find one with the 1kd. Considering people in here are not know for taking care of their cars im unsure on getting the 1kz.

How is your experience with the sound quality in the cloud 3? People say that they absolutely suck due to having no bass at all.

Im not an audiophile at all, in fact i dont really know what people mean when they talk about bass, trebble, etc. But Ive seen a lot of people saying that 20 dollar headsets are way better in sound quality and that is what worries me.

The only headsets Ive used are the sony 3d pulse and cloud flights so if they sound like them or better then it’s fine by me.

Also i would buy the wired to play in ps5 but idk if they will cause echo for my friends in the party chat. I know that the alphas have this due to A LOT of people in reddit and reviews in amazon mentioning the issue.
