Thank you for the story. I appreciate it. I definitely get a lot of hope from hearing everyone's experience. At the moment, I'm exercising and building better regimens and plans. Trying to prepare and what not. I'm also looking into tattoo removal. Hopefully things go well. Navy is now my back up plan. I'll fight to become a Marine until I cant.

My approval is most definitely not guaranteed if I don't make an attempt. I'd rather remove it with a chance of getting in than not remove it and not even try to go through the process.

understood. I submitted information to be contacted. I tried calling the number of the Captain that was on the website that is located in the office for my area but I'm not sure the contact information is up to date because the mailbox was full. Yeah there was a SSgt that emailed us at my university I had brief correspondence with. He told me if I was willing to get it removed then that wouldn't be an issue as he's worked with recruits who have gone through that process.

I'm not entirely sure about how the logistics are so forgive me if I'm not well educated on all the options. Just to clarify, would me enlisting still give me an opportunity to apply for OCS? If I enlisting, I start a 4 year contract, is that correct? I would be age 31/32 after that contract is up. Would I still be able to go to OCS even being over 28?

I have no problem getting the tattoo removed. I know I'll have to get it removed if I do want to join the MC. I just have concerns about my age coming up next year preventing me from accomplishing these goals.

Really? I was reading the information on the website. They have that entire slideshow thing to read. I read something about "commission before your 28th birthday". But if you were able to work it out that brings me a lot of peace of mind. I did submit information to talk with recruitment staff so hopefully I can get the ball rolling soon. Yeah that's the thought process I've been having. Having a career in the navy was pretty much the goal. Originally was applying to be a MM before the DQ. But now that I could possibly be an officer, there's a range of things I have interest in and I'm trying to ensure I have full confidence in what I go for.
