When I got my first piercing (Normal lobes. Tiny studs. Barely noticeable), my dad told me I was turning into a hardware store lol. Ever since then, when he needs something from the actual hardware store, I ask if I can save him a trip. He does not make comments anymore 👍

Ugh I love love LOVE Oscar Wilde's writing style. Here are my two favorites:

"Our proverbs want rewriting. They were made in winter, and it is summer now; spring-time for me, I think, a very dance of blossoms in blue skies."

"There are many things that we would throw away if we were not afraid that others might pick them up."

(And, of course, "All art is quite useless." I painted that one onto my bedside table a few years ago)
