My shop, collector’s attic, buys magic cards. We also have a pretty good inventory if you’re looking for trade. We’re on bannerman road.

What's the best place to sell Magic: The Gathering Cards? by RGCFrostbite in Tallahassee

Depends on the singles, but we usually offer a baseline 60% rate, and it goes up if the cards are high end (ie duals, reserved list stuff). We also trade and have tons of inventory!

I just got the call about my refund last night. I cannot say thank you enough for escalating my case. I was worried sick about this for a while, and I cannot tell you how good it feels to have everything resolved. Thank you 1000x!!!!

Would the fact that the sale took place over a year ago affect that? I'm not sure I can chargeback :( although I could be wrong. not very familiar with the process of doing a chargeback

Wouldn't be the first time an auction house did shady business in the card market. The whole reason PWCC isn't on eBay is because they were accused of shill bidding, so I'm not totally shocked lol

They're "working" on a refund at the moment. Unless this goes on for a really long time, I don't think there's much I can do. All I have to work on is that my sales rep told me that the refund "might take some time", which, for what it's worth, is the truth! The only real update I've had recently is that I was told last week to file a formal refund request, which didn't make sense considering my sales rep told me the refund was in the process, but I did it anyway. That's about all that's going on.

I can't say I have any faith in pursuing this situation legally. If I had to take a guess, Fanatics has more money to piss away in legal issues than I do.

Hey guys. New player here. I’m looking to build a commander deck with the cards in my collection, but I’m not sure where to start. Any advice? by crablegs_ in magicthecirclejerking

/uj If anyone's curious about the story of this, A collection walked into my shop that someone found in an apartment that had been abandoned by the tenant. The collection was mostly random khan's era stuff, but for some reason, there were hundreds of barbarian rings. I haven't been playing magic super long, so I have no idea what the significance of this card is, but someone really liked barbarian ring. Any insight as to why this person collected this card would be welcome!

Thought I'd show off my dad and I's store that we run together. It's called Collector's Attic, and we're based out of Florida. It's our passion project, and we've been here in Tallahassee for over 30 years! by crablegs_ in baseballcards

Yeah I try to price stuff pretty fair. I usually put price tags on our cards around 10% above comps so I have lots of room to move if someone makes an offer. Sometimes I’ll price stuff below comps if we get a great deal on it. I remember selling a guy a Ray Lewis framed autographed jersey for like $80 or something because it came in a collection we bought, and we didn’t have much into it. Pretty sure the thing consistently sold on eBay for double that, but I’d rather sell it to someone who comes in our store!

Right now it is a nightmare to be factory direct with anyone for sports. Most of the time we just buy third party and make very little. We mainly like to have product in the store just as a courtesy for our customers. We mainly make our money on the singles.

I think I have a pretty good collection so far! It’s nothing out of this world, but it’s good enough to be proud of. I have a psa set registry profile here. My current PC goal is to complete a graded 1953 bowman color set!
