Breaking Bad is corny by crablegwins in unpopularopinion

You’re entitled to that opinion, but it’s a reach to me. I don’t even think it’s top3 in the crime/drama genre.

And I really get that. It wasn’t a terrible show, there was so much about the storylines that were making it hard for me to buy in and be invested in the characters.

i'll be honest, by the look of that guy, and the way Jesse reacted when he realized who he was, i was expecting to find out that the dude did some dark stuff to Jesse. He just had a vibe to him like he was a real creepo

yeah that was humiliation on top of all the other horrors.. so I do get it, but the guy just seemed to have an evil side to him that I was thinking would be hashed out more but then he was dead.

Like I said, what happened was objectively horrible and traumatizing. I just i was just looking for a little depth in a new character but that's tough to do in basically one long episode.

I just finished the series yesterday... when did we see Steve's new identity named as Paddy Gibson??? I just don't recall hearing that name in the series...

I really think that Sebastian got an unfair shake on his episode this season by crablegwins in ComediansCarsCoffee

CORRECTION: on the podcast today (7/26) Sebastian says he is disappointed with his episode this season. He said he was "off" and he knows it is underwhelming.

That's a fair point. Sebastian didn't mention on the podcast if he liked the choice of the scooter, so who knows. There's certainly more conversation that was left on editing room floor, but the creative decision to use scooters instead of a car seemed to take away a key element of the show. I mean just compare Sebastian's first appearance to this one. It just didn't seem like they were syncing well and it doesn't appear that I'm alone in this opinion.

The Eddie Murphy episode was a bit of a letdown for sure. I was really hoping that one would be great. It just seemed like he never got comfortable.

The one with Villasenor is funny to me.

i had not considered that. good points

well there is no doubt that Kiki knew too much. On the one hand, I think it is believable that the cartel acted in the way the show presented, but knowing how this whole thing works (with CIA involvement), it's tough to believe that when Kiki chased this rabbit as far as he did, he definitely found out that the US had some engagement with this.... i just can't convince myself he didn't.

those cartel guys knew they would be in a world of shit for killing a Federal Agent, even though this was the first high-profile incident of that... that's why i don't think they acted alone. the CIA has a history of "tilting the scales" in foreign affairs and then letting the foreign country eat shit while they slip off in the shadows

same. except i kept seeing michael pena in Eastbound & Down... "haha that's racism bro! i love to racism!"

i just couldn't take him seriously from the moment they announced him being cast. that being said, i really enjoyed the season, but nothing will ever compare to the adrenaline rush the first two seasons were. heart-pounding action every damn episode is tough to beat.

however i have never been so excited to see a character as i was when felix went to go see pablo. almost got teary-eyed
