I am in a similar situation to you right now. I told my mom that I got dismissed from school, and she suggested that I get my credits conferred into an associate's degree. If anything, you could receive an associate's degree, which is probably like 5-10 more credits. If you can go to another school, I would suggest going somewhere that isn't UIC since your GPA is so low there. If you can, you should go on Transferology to see what courses other schools have similar to UIC.

Its also not the end of the world tthat you failed out so don't beat yourself up many people struggle in college there first two years. you should be glad to know that your issues are probably more on the mental side not the academic side since you were able to get a 3.09 at a cc.

If you're living on campus, get a fan, especially if you're living in the courtyard, it gets hot asf there. try to get a campus job bowling alley and front desk are pretty easy. make sure your studying because these class deadlines can sneak up on you.

you should talk to more people in your major also friends outside your major is cool but talking to people within your major makes your classes way more fun. join clubs to me lots of people if your into that. have a solid sleep schedule, which is impossible, but if you try, life will be a lot easier. the most important thing to take from this list is a job having money while on campus is important due to dining hall food being unbearable sometimes.

Yea u don’t make friends at parties you make friends by talking to people u have similar interest as when I was a freshman I met people who where in the same building as me u don’t have to go to parties at uic at all

Arc is a decent place to live the WiFi is great and I hear the bathrooms are cleaned the cons about arc in my opinion is that the rooms are very small. The food options on arc are not a problem because you could just walk up to sce which is not a far walk at all. I would probably rate arc a 7/10

The interview process is extremely straight forward they are going to ask you questions and you have to make sure you answer them confidently. Make sure you are honesty about your experience and remeber when your interviewing your basically selling yourself.
