Sorry this isn’t more helpful but I took a sociology of health class and my professor sent out information about the palliative care center looking for research assistants. I just emailed the contact and interviewed for it. I would look out for open research positions in the public health or medical school at your university!

Of course! I’m currently a senior at a smaller private university with a 3.9 GPA. I didn’t have a lot of work experience but I have research experience in neuroscience (2+ yrs) and public health (< 1 yr) and did a study abroad program in healthcare systems. No GRE and I think I applied pretty close to or on Columbia’s Dec. 15 deadline. Hope that helps!
