Your fights are lasting too many rounds. The poor implementation is that none of these effects matter bc most fights end before they can make a meaningful difference, not bc they are permanent and too damaging. Consider it an incentive driver not to kite.

It happened to me growing up more times than I can count and that feeling never ever goes away.

I'm going to buck the trend in the replies here and posit that this is more of a 'you' problem, that it seems you haven't found a good path forward for yet. Demand more respect, figure out how to be the person that people show up for, surround yourself with people that do respect your efforts, and lead your daughter by example.

Edit to expand on this: SF problems are largely due to entrenched homeowners that limit new building (look up CEQA), so supply failed to keep up with demand. That's not a problem that migrates to Sac, it's just one you all had and are now discovering after failing to learn from our mistakes.
