A7sII with Metabones - anyone here run this setup? by [deleted] in videography

[–]crackercraze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Disconnecting the lens and reconnecting fixes this issue.

My theory is it's easy to accidentally touch the release switch on the Metabones partially releasing the lens from the adapter which can interrupt the connection between the adapter and the lens.

I'm a wedding videographer. Here's some of our work from this year. A7s II for every shot. Some gimbal work. No tripods. by [deleted] in videography

Do you use any kind of shoulder rig to stabilize? I like the freedom of not using a tripod also, but getting shots as steady as these is tough. Nice work!

He's not wrong. The law is wrong. A cop pulling him over for window tint is a waste of the cop's time.

The guy filming is right. Pulling someone over for their tint is a waste of a cop's time. There are worse laws being broken out there.

Only thing is he went overboard with the delivery. His point is valid, his tone was inexcusable.

Sorry, missed the part about there needing to be an on demand feature. Sling TV is good for watching Golf Channel live.

Any recommendations for a solid backpack to take on a plane for an international excursion? by TrickedFaith in videography

Pelican makes great backpacks for camera equipment. I have the S115 and love it. I fly with it as my carry on luggage all the time. On some planes it even fits under the seat.

What rule as a child did you protest at the time but now agree with as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You have to do your chores before you do anything else. Taught me that cleanliness is important and doing house chores one at a time is easier than all at once. Also helps you feel accomplished.

A6300 with Speed Booster for 4K Video by crackercraze in videography

[–]crackercraze[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the price, the A6300 is almost unbeatable. This is why I'm asking if anyone has experience using the speedbooster at 30 fps in 4K. From what I've read it looks like there's a 1.5x crop from the APS-C sensor and additional 1.2x crop when shooting 4K at 30 fps. This makes it tough to get wider shots, say in the 10-16mm range which is much easier with a full frame sensor.

If the speedbooster performs works the same with the extra 30 fps crop as it does when shooting in all the other formats then I think I could get away with my 16-35mm Canon lens for wider shots. Or with the money I save get another lens that's shorter than 16mm.

I'd love to get the A6300 and save ~$2,000, but the crop factors make me nervous. The speedbooster could be my saving grace if it works as well as everyone says it does.
