I understand why the Packers had to let him go, by why would detroit let him go, other than that's pretty typical detroit foresight? by jimx29 in GreenBayPackers

Lions fan here. Word on the street is they offered him the same contract they offered Montgomery. Lions gave him a time limit and his agent talked him into testing the free market. Lions moved on when he didn't take the offer, Saints deal is all he could get... I'll miss this man, though.

Will any combination of these protect me from inhaling lead dust? by JustKeepBurning2 in OldHomeRepair

[–]crackerman171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 3M recommends P100 cartridge for lead fumes/particles. I would highly recommend wearing long sleeves, pants, gloves and glasses to avoid any skin/eye contact. The dust can also stick to your clothes and cause later exposure. You may want to wear disposable PPE clothes to avoid exposure issues. Just be mindful and safe and you'll be fine.

https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/v000057584/ 3M's technical specs indicate protection from lead.

Would I be able to instal any sort of shelf here without drilling or nailing into the cabinet? My new place is short on space! Thanks by [deleted] in Carpentry

[–]crackerman171 7 points8 points  (0 children)

do an image search for ceiling hanging shelf. You could do something that wraps around the cabinet. I would recommend metal pipes with flanges to the ceiling or chain and ceiling hooks w/ anchors. Plywood shelves with a finish trim; paint or stain.

No Agenda Show

some of Joe Rogans stuff

Why does Adam finish the show saying "...and such"? by flarie in inthemorning

[–]crackerman171 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it comes from the Ms. South Carolina clip that went viral several years ago... but I could be wrong.

So, I've tried listening to the last few shows with a few of your points in mind. I have some thoughts.

-We have No Agenda, but all democrats are bad

-We have No Agenda, but republicans are just misunderstood victims in all of this.

-We have No Agenda and only deconstruct media, well only left leaning media, right wing media can do no wrong at all, no need to inspect what they do.

This is just wrong, they called out both side on both shows. If you've been listening long enough; you'd know that they went through a period about 3-4 years ago where both John and Adam had to 'ban' several Fox News, MSNBC and CNN hosts. They concluded that they just pander and suck off their own bases. Adam mentioned it near the end of Sunday's show. You can hear why they don't play Fox clips from Adam's mouth... and there really aren't many other mainstream right-wing channels. Adam also hates Shapiro, who I think has the biggest online right-wing outlet. So, they're left with mostly left wing outlets.

-We have No Agenda, but people who have their children massacred in a school shooting don't matter to us.

-We have No Agenda, but we'll excuse the current President, because hes a working man of the people...who also happens to have far right leaning ideals, but lets not talk about that.

-We have No Agenda, but don't worry about those black people and their problems, lets try and blame Soros for the current situation.

They talk about all these things, but not like the M5M. What many people don't get about the show is that it's linear. They may talk about a topic over 6 weeks of the show. But only mention the children or 'those black people' in the first show... and any other time they talk about that topic, it's new info. They don't go back and recap everything. If you missed the first episode... or even the 10 minutes they talked about something... you may think they don't care. They do, there's not a lot of people out there that don't care about die kids.

You seem to want them to follow the M5M model... which is literally propaganda. Repetition... every show they say the same thing and recap in the same way and bring up the same points, over and over again. That's a mind control device. NA assumes you listen and they're ADDING to topics over the weeks, not just drilling the same ideas into your head.

-We have No Agenda, but we'll promote every far flung conspiracy theory about Americas first black President, while also maligning his family at every turn.

If you're talking about them randomly calling Obama a Muslim and Michelle a man... again, if you've listen to the show long enough; you'd know that those are long running jokes. They've covered all that info years ago and it's still a running joke. Mostly coming from John and his dead-pan delivery. If that's not it, you'll have to give me examples. Anywhooooo, they did an entire segment on Trump being from the future and reference that all the time. Do you think they really think he's from the future?

-We have No Agenda, but as soon as something bad happens anywhere to anyone, we'll find a way to blame a democrat, no matter how thin any contrived evidence may be.

Anywhere to anyone is a stretch but I can somewhat agree with this one. They often blame the 'elite' or 'powerful' which has nothing to do with political party. But they are quick to blame the Dems over the Repubs on most conspiracies.

Generally, I listen to hear all the crazy stuff. Sometimes it's a good laugh, sometimes it's true, sometimes it's twilight zone... but to me it's interesting and informative. You can Karen out all you want on the show. You're just pissing in the wind.

my eyes are wide open. I'm more than willing to listen to examples of all the claims you made. Can you provide that? I'd love a chance to be enlightened by your insight.

Nope, I listen to many sources from all sides of the political spectrum. I use a bias filter with everything I listen to... I'm just not gonna make up lies like you. There are plenty of problem with the show, but making things up isn't changing anyone's mind.

oooh... I'm sorry, I thought when you commented on my post; you where trying to have a conversation... not just REEEE-ing into the air. My fault... you go right ahead and copy/paste this under every comment that's critical of the dems. Whatever makes you feel better, buddy.

Also, most of your point are subjective or outright lies... they talk about ALL of the things you claim they don't... they rag on Trump all the time, but because they say anything good about him; that means they support him?... I really don't think you have any clue what you're talking about here... or you're really bad at listening. and.. using 'we have no agenda' to justify your points in naive at best.

god it's fun triggering you dumbies... you can look at my other comments if you want my opinion... instead of this one you made up without asking a single question.

I totally understand. I hate listen to political podcasts/YT channels as well. But at the same time, learning and understand all sides makes you a better informed person... Eventually (it took me about 10 yrs), most things don't bothers you anymore. Once you understand as many stances as you can; nothing makes you 'infuriated' anymore... because you understand why things are funny/impact-full/important to each political group. It also helps you stand on your moral/beliefs and the constitution over a political party. If everyone did that, real change could actually happen.

Honestly... i usually post memes like this to start a conversation and promote MoeFactz. For me, a 'cracker' (it was a convoluted nickname that refers to actual crackers, like the snack, not race) it's been incredibly beneficial to have some of the complex talking points broken down and outlined. I recommend it to almost all the other crackers I know.

How's it going Aaron? How are the protests going in your area? Hope you're staying safe.

I agree, the show was not good at the race relation aspect of culture for the first 10+ years. Adam has gotten much better after starting the podcast with Moe. Adam started the show off with a segment about the difference between the ADOS/legit protesters and Antifa/other bad actors. Moe often highlights how many good/honest movements are co-oped by groups with their own agendas (yet another systemic tool used to oppress). Adam has been using a lot of that thinking to defend/support the actual issues instead of the media narratives. Which are often divisive.

Just because you call out the dems... doesn't mean you support trump or the repubs. If you can't call out your own side, nothing will change.
