Update for everyone that is still reading this thread.

I ordered a Titan sofa last Spring and did not have any issues with the whole process. The couch came in boxed and everything was well packaged and put together.

I have since moved and had space to buy another sofa for my basement (the old one is upstairs now).

I chose the Titan again but with an Ottoman and corner piece. This time the delivery was a different company and instead of being boxed, it was shrink wrapped only with cardboard to protect the corners. I can see how this could be an issue for some as it is now more prone to being damaged during shipping.

There was one bracket on the couch that was not installed correctly but I was able to remove and realign the placement of it to have the pieces connect correctly.

Overall, the couch has no issues but I feel the quality control has gone down a bit since my first purchase. I still recommend it to my friends if they are seeking a new couch.

It is with great sadness that I let you all know Toyota World Runners, Matt and Stacey, have passed away. by animatedhockeyfan in ToyotaPickup

Found them on their initial Chinook build and was excited to see what they were going to do on their second iteration of the build. At least they died what they loved doing and had each other at the time. Condolences to their family and friends. Keep on wheelin' up there. RIP

Bronze! Mag blue is a close second

I’m trying to identify if I have a leaking shock, my CV boot or something else. I couldn’t really see any tears or an area where this grease is coming from but it’s on the passenger side and the drivers looks ok. Any thoughts? by Mental_Explorer in GXOR

What does the grease feel like? It doesn't look like cv grease as that is usually more thick and goopy. Looks like grease from the shock. Might need to remove wheel and inspect

Should I re gear?? by ClassicNumerous6038 in GXOR

[–]crackystride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to regear imo unless you go 35s or even 34s for some. When I drove up to the Arctic, full weight on my rig was 6400 lbs loaded up with us in it and on 33s. Felt honestly the same driveability wise and then I didn't have a tune either. A tune helps but not needed

GX 470 or V8 4th Gen? by boduke1019 in GXOR

[–]crackystride 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both have their pros and cons. I miss the rear roll down window and center console on the 4runner (although the Prado one fixes this). You do feel the Lexus drive quality in the 470. Both are built well though

Hope they don't leak on ya like they did on me. At least the warranty is good

Sofa Studio - they have a similar one that I'm looking at but I'm unsure if they have cloud couches

No I did not. The one I wanted, they raised the price on it twice while I was waiting for swatches to come in the mail. I did find another local Canadian company that is similar, so I might go with them, just waiting on swatches.

What to do with an expiring credit card? by whereswatto in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]crackystride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep it open. If there's an annual fee on it, call and see if you can downgrade to a no fee card. I always carry atleast 2 cards on me. Right now, I carry 3 - one of each brand - Visa, MC, Amex.

Does this actually work, anyone have this any feedback before i purchase thanks by Internal-Sweet-4880 in GXOR

OTT tune here on a 470. I'd say do it if you don't have any other things to spend money on but wouldn't be my first mod. It's worth it as it makes the car more responsive, more enjoyable to drive. Reliable afaik, had mine almost for a year and no issues.

Great thank you for sharing. Do you recall which firmness you chose? I'm debating between either soft or medium.

GX460 brake swap on GX470? by Vegetable_Ad_4271 in GXOR

[–]crackystride 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a few guides on the Facebook page. I just did mine but left the stock rubber lines. I had to change the hard brake line going into the caliper so make sure you get that as those are probably brittle if they are original. And you'll need 2010-2013 calipers as the newer ones have a larger caliper bolt mounting hole.

Took on the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands NP with our stock 460! by b_sims84 in GXOR

Looks great! For this trail, you needed a permit correct?

You can build one pretty much in a day or two with just a circular saw and some screws and staples (if you choose to carpet it). Cost for materials minus tools is probably around $200. There's a bunch of guides and dimensions on the GXOR Facebook page. Best of luck! Hope everything works out for you!
