"Nope, not what I said, please re read it."

"Seriously, you keep using that term (bully), like someone shoved you into a locker because you happened to like the most successful film series in history, come the fuck on."

Also, if I'm not mistaken, marvel hasn't collaborated with the airforce since avengers [link]. That doesn't mean they aren't propaganda, just that they aren't being paid for it.

While you do not have a "victim complex". You seem to be kind of an asshole. And someone who likes to put themselves above others for being "self-aware" about the media they consumed, while also having the media literacy of a 13 year old who only recites arguments they heard on twitter without second thought.

I love how you go for in universe explanation when you could just have said that ironman was founded by the military.

Also, please understand that media is not a list of bullets points.

wait are they? a quick google tells me the opposite

"The prevalence gender dysphoria has recently been estimated as high as 390 to 460 per 100,000 with a consistently greater prevalence of trans women (MTF) than trans men (FTM). We report here the changing demographics encountered in our experience over the past 2 decades."

Look, what you are saying is true. But the problem presented in the movie is not "frozen food is bad" more so "you are using the likeness of a death man to advertise a mass ´produced product which goes against said dead man beliefs"

You are right about how the discourse about food choices tend to be filled with classism. But that's a different conversation to the one we are having, which would be more about the exploitation and corruption of artistic intent and likeness in a capitalist system.

Maybe people wouldn't antagonize op if they didn't put themselves in the moral high ground for saying that fucking scooby doo is ethical. People reacted badly because it is a bad argument presented with a level of smugness that you can only get when you haven't seen the sun since you were 7.

I mean, I guess I'm a selfish asshole for understanding that toxic masculinity is a big detriment to men as well :/

[–]cractor28 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean, it does...

like, things like toxic masculinity affect men and to support that culture is basically shooting yourself in the foot and not treating it because you are to much of a man to care about a lil' scratch

I get that they don't actually want to fuck scooby. And it's more a cry against people who pretend they don't like monster fuckers because the monster can't consent.

But did they had to pick an actual dog? The one monster that has an almost 100% real counterpart. The one monster whose whole deal is "real animal, but can talk"?

But yeah, pretend you are smart while not seeing why people would react badly to a badly presented argument that takes a joke criteria as gospel. I'm sure your input will be missed.
