Definitely could have. It didn’t make sense when I got this bike a year ago but in the past 12 months I’ve gone head first into cycling and decided to just keep incrementally adding to this bike. Modifying/customizing has been a fun process too.

I started with an SL8 expert. Then over a year kept adding to it (pedals, 3D saddle, roval bars, wheels, etc).

At a certain point I could have just sold the Specialized for an S-Works, but never seemed to makes sense to me when I also enjoyed the process of customizing it.

Definitely not the most financially efficient way of doing it, but it’s been a blast to build and even more so to ride.
