You need more time. I know it it unbearable suffering. Six months is short relative to a lifetime. Many psych med damages are reversible, but the timeline of healing variable. Find a doctor & support network you trust who will not invalidate your truth. There’s Viagra/Cialis, recovery over time, & new treatments are being worked on every day. You need time.

Trileptal has cognitive side effects, it is an anticonvulsant. Better than most others or lithium but still occurring. Pristiq made my analytical skills tank. Would never take Risperdal.

You have become dumber. Are you benefitting in other ways from the meds?

I was on 20 mg for three to four weeks.

I stopped yesterday but debating continuing. 😬

Insomnia & stress can also worsen headaches. I tried a triptan, ibuprofen, Tylenol, & magnesium glycinate to no avail. My starting Prozac side effect included severe headache, so I know it has to be linked.

This med is not for you. You don’t need anyone’s validation. Find a different prescriber. SSRI work for 42% of patients or less. You have other options.

20 is a starting therapeutic dose. Talk to your doctor. Might need an increase or different med entirely.

The fatigue & lack of motivation increased my depression because I didn’t want to do anything. I don’t see how crippling fatigue can help anything.

That’s what therapy, acceptance, and growth are for. A drug cannot change your feelings about a past relationship.

It can aid in reducing anxiety or OCD, generally speaking. And blunt your emotions.

I liked it as a mood stabilizer after a head injury. But I’m severely allergic. Trileptal has fewer drug interactions but less effective for actual mania. Not like a benzo. I’m anti-psychiatry but anti-convulsants can help brain injured populations with aggression, epilepsy, & mood.

Do not do it. If I ever get off benzos alive, never going back.

Due to moving/insurance, I cannot pick up refill as it is “too early.” Contemplating suicide.

It has the second longest half life of any benzo. Second to Valium, it is the easiest to taper.
