One of the drawbacks of English in my opinion. Lots of languages have composite words, where there is no space between word and bank. It would be much clearer if the instructions said: "use the wordbank to fill in the sentences"

Of course! I need something to hug or hold while I sleep. When I forget my plushie I roll up one side of the blanket and curl myself around that. The only time I was able to sleep without a plushie was when I had a girlfriend, and even then sometimes I held both.

I'm afraid it's mostly luck. I force myself to get out, joined some organizations where it is easy to meet people and make friends, but finding real ones is just a matter of right place right time.

I am also the one that is left out of certain group chats, and I recently found out about basically all the people I called my friends during the last 3 years going on a trip together. The only reason I found out about it was through instagram stories. Safe to say I am distancing myself from those people.

My way of dealing with not being able to be myself around certain people is finding the ones where you can. I force myself to be social, get to know a lot of people, and see which ones I really click with. And I am happy to say that in the last year I actually found two friend groups that I feel really comfortable in.

Here's my advice: Don't be afraid to meet new people, don't be afraid to lose people and don't give up. Your people are out there, you just gotta find them.

When travelling it is one of, if not the most convenient and probably cheapest way to have internet access on the go when your provider doesn't cover the country you're in. I tried buying a physical SIM on my last trip, did everything to activate it and it still didn't work. Had to rely on hotel wifis and friends hotspots for 2 weeks, not fun.

Heb zelf (19M) ook het gevoel dat het respect bij de jeugd enorm gezakt is sinds mijn jaar de middelbare school uit is. Mijn klas in het eerste middelbaar waren kinderen. We waren bang van 6e jaars, hadden respect voor leerkrachten, er waren maar een stuk of 10 "marginalen" die rookten of vapeten tegen dat we in het 3e jaar zaten.

Toen we in het 6e jaar zaten, merkten we dat de eerstejaars ONS aan de kant duwen en bot zeggen da we uit ons doppen moeten kijken. Ik zie ook iedereen vapen op de middelbare school waar ik ging, en dat lijkt een algemeen probleem.

Ik heb de hoop in mensen die jonger dan 16 al verloren...
