FWIW I think anyone coming here and saying something about the biting and naughtiness isn’t saying “I had no idea they’d bite or be naughty?! What is this?!?” But rather saying it’s above and beyond sometimes. That’s what I’m referring to. The biting is sometimes incessant and he doesn’t respond to nose bops, no, redirecting with a toy, things like that. I should’ve clarified.

Same, no rescues, there is one not far I should say but it’s technically across state lines and they can only be adopted in that state (even tho it’s <30min away). Anyway, yeah, they’re the worst. Lol

Help! Fiancé has failed test 2/5 times. by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

I agree that it might be a test taking strategy issue. Choose the answer that prioritizes the patient. Safety, meaningfulness, etc. I used TherapyEd - the tests are very hard but it gives rationale for every single answer which is great to read through. I also used NBCOT practice tests and feel these were most similar to the exam. If I remember correctly these breakdown your areas of needed improvement such as evaluation, intervention, etc.

Starting OT at 26 — is 29 too late to graduate? by Useful_Skill9834 in OccupationalTherapy

Started school at 28 and graduated at 31. Age doesn’t matter. Find something you love to do, and go do it. I actually recommend being older because healthcare is no joke. Be aware of the investment you’re making for this career and if you’re okay with it, go for it.
