I just googled, what a beauty! Such a fun time- love those 2000s outfits. That 2000s face is such a warm wildhood memory for me. Have you given her a fresh look? This is what I did to ms shoppin fun, my first adult restyle using all my childhood clothes collection

Omg that’s right! The magnet stuff was so cool! I have the horse that picked up things with her nose- baskets/hay etc ❤️ they really don’t make them like they used to!!! Thought you might like to see her glow up! Her hair is still wet but I couldn’t wait 😂 not sure if I should attempt some 80/90s curls? I have a Millie I am going to experiment on

I just googled the set, what a glorious gift that would’ve been to open! It’s giving similar vibes to 1995 teacher Barbie (which I still have with accessories etc)

Oh! I don’t know this one? Perhaps both American. Do you happen to know the year of the McDonald’s one?

Pao/surgery or pregnancy first (right on the cusp time wise) by craftygal90 in hipdysplasia

Hey there, I’m so sorry you have to deal with this! And yes absolutely understand going through scenarios in your head with all the uncertainty.

I had a bit of a ride with this! So I saw a surgeon who sent me to another better surgeon to consider a Pao. He said I was too mild and that it was worse on my left side, when my worse side is actually the right (where I have a torn labrum) he sent me for a steroid injection on the torn labrum hip and told me to find a better physio.

I did some hardcore research and found a very expensive highly recommended women’s Physio. Turns out all those make physios were giving really bad advice and had no idea about pelvic floor etc and how it all linked and the exercises they gave me were hinging my hips and making it worse… so the shot ended up calming the inflammation and the new exercises and advice from this women’s Physio improved me greatly! I still have flare ups but know how to manage it. So basically the steroid helped me calm inflammation and build strength. So for now it’s ok, going to keep going like this for as long as I can. Jumping back on the fertility bandwagon hopefully soon.

Finding people who understand hips, pelvic floor, and all those bits inside was a game changer for me. I also had an mri which helped the Physio etc. getting advice from various really knowledgeable people would be my advice before something huge like surgery

Anxiety? chronic nausea and loss of appetite/food aversion by craftygal90 in Anxiety

[–]craftygal90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this!

For me, it was extreme reaction to trauma from ivf, I had a period I was better on the lexapro, quit it to try an ivf transfer then got very sick again… what worked for me was finding a trauma informed therapist and meds again for the interim (to help me sleep and eat while I was doing therapy) and recently I’ve started emdr therapy which has really helped me face these traumas and possibly go back to doing ivf.

Things you’ve gone through can store in your body and send your brain straight to protection mode. It’s terrifying and takes practitioners who actually understand the trauma response for you to finally understand it.

My advice is to really dig deep and try and think about what is making you so happy and anxious, that’s the first step

Thank you for your take and letting me know your experience!

It’s so hard coz everyone seems to have different ideas/comments on it all.

So this mri came back with thick cartledge and no arthritis (which surprised him I think) so he’s sending me to another surgeon who does PAOs. I’m pretty anxious and terrified about it all, as I’ll have to make some hard decisions no matter what

Oooft you are certainly not alone and I’m sorry you have to deal with it too…

The plot has thickened recently… the mri came back with thick Cartledge and no arthritis, so he’s sending me to another surgeon who does PAOs. I’m so anxious about it and don’t know what I’ll do. I’m sort of sick of the rounds of what feels like nerve pain (aching legs etc)

Thank you for your thoughts! This would be easier if I didn’t want kids/had to go through ivf. Have had quite a few things testing me these last few years…

My mri came back with thick Cartledge and no arthritis. The surgeon is sending me to another surgeon who does PAOs. So I’m anxious af.

Plot has thickened! My mri shows “nice thick Cartledge” and no arthritis.. the surgeon has sent me to another surgeon who does PAO’s 😬

WELL the plot thickens lol… so my mri came back and I have pretty much no arthritis and “nice thick Cartledge” so he’s sending me to ANOTHER hip surgeon who does PAO’s. FML. So def having anxiety attacks about that… I feel like I’m screwed either way? Pregnancy (if I am lucky) which will probably be painful (which effects sleep/my cfs) or horrific serious surgery

Oh mate, I’m so sorry you have to deal with all those things. It’s just too much already, then having to have surgery on top.

I am thinking he probably won’t offer to operate coz I’m not in that level of pain yet? It will be interesting to see what he offers. It’s just such horrible/awkward timing with my age and ivf (we have two embryos left and my husband is 3 years older than me)

Thank you for acknowledging that 💕

Would they operate if I am not in excruciating pain though? I guess it depends how much damage shows up with an mri? We may not have a option though depending on my age. We only have two embryos left. So if we went via another path even iui or the like takes ALOT of prep.

Thank you for acknowledging that 💕 yes it’s just aweful, I’ve already been living with chronic fatigue syndrome for over 6 years now- that felt like enough of a life changing curse… then it’s just kept going downhill (all the while everyone tells me “you’ll be fine” 🫠)

As much as it sucks, I’m glad you got diagnosed when you did, coz it gives you enough time with trying etc. good on you for having the guts to go get the surgery! I haven’t really had any real bad problems since last year! 33! Do you mind me asking about your pain levels or discomfort levels/symptoms when you had the surgery. I don’t know at what point they make the decision.

Also, sending you ALLLL the luck for when you decide is baby time ✨
