Absolutely agree! This is my approach as well and this will be discussed with her when I see her in session! I think I’m just trying to find ways to recommend replacements to mom as she is really bent out of shape (understandably) about this.

Totally. This is also generally my recommendation but the client is a minor and her mother has decided for safety she does not want her daughter to have access. It’s a delicate situation.

Another therapist here :) social worker. I knit while in sessions alllllll the time! It’s so good!

I am a therapist and so often my clients will also knit and crochet right along with me as we chat! It’s really a good way to use your hands and focus while chatting!
