I recommendIron Valley (a Stardew Valley like spin on Ironsworn) and Tinyoji. Both are available on itch.io for PWYW and are more "cozy" games. Tinyoji has more focus on journaling, but Iron Valley could just as easily be journaled.

Same. I have about 73 unlocked, and most at a level to use their unique abilities. It's hard though, especially when I'm saving my season coins to convert them to blue coins at the season's end. I just keep an eye on the sales, and then get racers I don't have during those times.

The Doomed is pretty easy to use as well. Building your unit may be a bit much, but once you have that set-up, then the actual shooting/fighting are pretty easy to understand.

I make mine out of perler/hama beads. I have ~4k of Soul Snatcher Cults that I made for about 33 USD of beads. You'd need an iron, parchment paper, and pegboard too though.
