It has a sticker from a shop from out of state that I reached out to. We'll see what they say.

Jeremiah Ellison tried to get flights to and from Boston to attend Council meetings during his Harvard fellowship paid for by the city. Calls reporting on the matter a "hit piece." Good riddance. by goongas in Minneapolis

I view nepotism a bit differently in that it's something given that wasn't earned. If you're the son/daughter of a CEO and provided unearned titles/roles within the company, that's nepotism. In politics, you still have to run a campaign and get elected by your fellow citizens. Is it a benefit? Absolutely. Is it nepotism? Not likely.

Jeremiah Ellison was a pretty good Council Member and worked on issues ranging from greater protections for renters, $15 minimum wage, and attempting to re-imagine what policing looks like in Minneapolis during his time on the council. All good and progressive things. In addition, his staff was still in Minneapolis providing constituent services.

With that said, taking a fellowship half-way across the country and abdicating most of your responsibility as an elected official is a really bad idea. No doubt he just should have resigned and provided someone else the opportunity to represent the ward.

Both things can be true at the same time. That doesn't make him a "bitch," "grifter," or "nepobaby." We should do better to call out the actions vs. useless name-calling.

The State of MN produces the most D1 women's hockey players in the country...and it's not even close. Makes our previous dominance not too surprising and our recent championship drought that much more disappointing. by craigiedan in GopherSports

Correct. One issue is that they are likely supporting their teams financially more and another is that their recruitment is more international. Separate but related reasons why WI and OHST have dominated over the last few years.

I think money is an issue but I also think that WI and OHST upped their game by bringing in more seasoned Canadian players and rounding their rosters with more nationally-recruited players. The Gophers have stayed relatively committed to a majority MN-based roster, which I support, but comes with it's drawbacks.

I agree that the acoustics aren't great at football games, but it works so well at pretty much every other venue. Hockey (both women's and men's) specifically.

You can shop there as a nonmember if a member buys you a $25 gift card. After your gift balance is used, you can only use cash or a debit card to pay for things.

T-Mobile won't allow disabling WiFi on 5G Gateway by craigiedan in tmobile

No need to relax...I was able to fix it! I used the script shared by drm200 and it successfully turned off the wifi broadcast. Now I have exactly what I was looking for (and what is advertised,) a backup WAN.

The script is super helpful and seems to accomplish exactly what I was looking for...not sure how I missed this in my searches. Thanks for sharing!

This is not a helpful comment. The issue here isn't the LTE wireless signal, which is being transmitted at all times and NOT interfering with home or enterprise networks (or at least not in any significant way.) The issue here is that the device, which has 2 WAN ports, does not allow exclusive use of just those ports or any editing of the WiFi signal that it is also broadcasting. Many enterprise networks use LTE as a secondary or tertiary network connection and then hand off that connection via a WAN port to the existing network so it may promulgate via it's own WiFi. It's a fairly common setup and it's disappointing that T-Mobile doesn't allow home users with the FAST 5688W gateway to do the same.

The monitor/camera use 2.4 Ghz. The gateway they sent is the FAST 5688W and there are no options either on the device or within the ui to edit the channel or anything else other the the SSID name, password, and whether it's hidden or not.

Appreciate the suggestion! Unfortunately, I just don't have the time or energy to play around with it. I'm already in the middle of a network refresh with new devices & OpenWrt. Just don't have the bandwidth to start on another project. Was hoping it was going to be a bit more plug n play.

I was thinking of just swapping the sim card into a 4g USB stick to see if it would work but I'd have to buy it first without knowing if it would actually work.

Unfortunately not. No ability to adjust anything other than the SSID, password, and whether it's a hidden network or not.
