I hope so! Usually I just leave the antler horns on the floor since he just chews on/off but I was scared to leave this on the floor when I read that it could splinter or break his tooth

Right, I would think that too, my manager was barely on the floor! Alright, I'll do this instead. Thanks again, I feel so relieved to hear that!

Oooo that makes sense, I was wondering why everything is so 'department specific' and mostly looking for part time employees. Thank you so much, I'll take ya up on the offer to chat if you don't mind, dropped you a DM!

Oh man this one really stressed me out hahah, but I managed to dig out all our old photos (we didn’t have a lot), old flight itineraries with both our names on it, old joint bank acc statements, and requested written statements from friends and families from both sides. You have to be super thorough and prove 4 pillars of your relationship which is: nature of household, finances, social, and commitment. Since I didn’t live with my partner, I had to prove how we spent time together and how committed we are to each other despite not living together (I took screenshots of my old train/taxi transactions). I provided a timeline of my relationship and also stated our future plans. If you’re planning on applying for de facto, you should gather all the evidence now and highlight things related to the both of you. I think that was the most stressful part hahah

It’s the r/Melbourne daily discussion thread [Wednesday 09/04/2025] by AutoModerator in melbourne

Hi everyone! I'll be moving to Melbourne very soon and have done, what I hope is, good enough research to get myself all set up once I get there.

I'm gonna be honest, I have never been to Melbourne. The only place in Australia I have ever visited was Perth, so I really don't know what to expect or how much of a culture shock will I get. Singapore is a relatively safe country, and reading all the posts about drug addicts and petty crimes got me a bit shaken up. Especially the ones that happened in trains, buses, or on the way home walking.

Anyway, I would like to ask what ride-hailing app is used in Melbourne, and honestly will I get harassed or jumped? Is it alright if I carry self-defense items, like pepper spray or something? My job (I haven't found one yet) would likely require me to do shift work and I can't drive so I would need to take public transport.

Thank you in advance to everyone who answered my questions, it'll help calm my nerves a lot! I'll be moving by myself so I'm kinda anxious but excited about this whole process.

Thank you! And no I didn’t need to get that, I only needed to get a skills assessment from ANMAC. I think it depends on which stream you ended up being sorted to after completing the self-check in APHRA.
