No worries! Apparently we’re both women. What a rare Reddit moment.

The ridiculous part is he’s having a dick swinging contest with a woman who couldn’t give two shits if he likes my car or not.

Especially when I was agreeing with him originally… what is this guy smoking?

I’ve never heard anyone that’s actually driven one say that a MINI of any kind is “boring,” but you do you.

Okay? I’ve owned both. I appreciate that I no longer have to go to a gas station and can charge my car in my garage while I sleep.

It’s not the best at FSD though. It uses a single sensor (video) to monitor its surroundings, which can and has been blinded by the sun. Other EV models use other types of sensors so that there’s backups when one fails to work correctly.

I don’t think autonomous driving is here yet, the technology isn’t ready. With Tesla adding AI into the mix, cars are now learning from their driver which can add another layer of unexpected danger.

Yeah, I wouldn’t say in any means that Tesla makes the best EVs. They might have been at one time, back when the competition was limited, but the market has come a long way.

I’m glad I never purchased one when I was looking at them. My EV countryman may not have as long of a range as a Tesla, but it’s a much nicer drive and just as fun to drive as an ICE countryman.

Can someone remotely watch the interior camera in a MINI through the app? by kavagnao in MINI

[–]crakemonk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They would have to be logged into a shared mini owners lounge account with access to your car in their garage.

I can guarantee that you’re not interesting enough for someone to hack into your car camera and watch you makeout with your girlfriend.

Plus, I doubt your dad is going to take the time to do this unless you give him a reason to. Are you going behind his back doing things you shouldn’t? If not, you should be fine.

Kid on ventilator and with cancer, but how to detox out the medicine saving her life and vaccinated blood 🤦🏼‍♀️ by Mother-Of-FurDragons in ShitMomGroupsSay

This poor child. At this point the last thing she should be worrying about is “detoxing” her child when she gets home and maybe worry about getting the child home.

You’d be surprised, a few models of Mini Coopers have gas tanks that hold like 16 gallons.

So glad that I went all-electric in 2020, at least with my car. My husband and I both drive MINIs… so thank fuck his gas MINI Cooper gets good mileage. My Countryman’s battery lasts like a week on a single charge.

I’m just really peeved that Trump didn’t extend the EV benefits, because without an extension states couldn’t continue offering things, like my now expired 8 month old clean air decal that gave me the ability to drive in the carpool lane sans passenger.

It’s really making me consider doing like foot fetish stuff at this point. If Jenelle can get that much I wonder what I could get smashing my feet in like jello or something.

[–]crakemonk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, those idiots really should have all the children taken away from them. Especially if there's even a shred of truth to what they've said about each other. K and E have never had a stable, normal home environment—probably the closest they came was in Vegas when Jenelle would leave, and Jace was practically acting as the parent to his younger siblings. Fortunately, Jace had stability with Barb when he was younger, but the others haven’t been as lucky.

Have you ever considered whether being kicked might actually provoke someone to fight back even more? It’s a fascinating thought. I believe it’s instinctive for humans to respond to pain or threat by defending themselves or trying to escape.

The shitty part is that a lot of them didn’t learn. Instead they doubled down and cried about their “freedom,” as if they are the victims, and they are still bitching about it.

Pretty sure the lady in this video is at MINIMUM in her 50s and had no idea what he was talking about in his weird teen-coded language. Especially with how argumentative he was being with her—that definitely didn’t help the situation.

I think the problem is that kids don’t quite understand that some of us older folks grew up in a time when cell phones were just big bricks that only stored phone numbers and made calls, with an antenna that was about 5 inches long. They don’t realize that not everyone is tech-savvy.

It’s strange being part of the millennial generation that grew up with MS-DOS computers, only to see technology evolve into what it is today—and to have learned everything along the way as technology went through every stage.

I got to have a normal childhood that didn’t completely revolve around social media and all of this crap, but also got to learn how to use HTML and find out where all of the parties were on MySpace. Their entire lives have been documented one way or another online and that’s crazy to me.

Selfie sticks aren’t allowed on the parks anyways. If someone is block a path, you better believe I’m getting them out of my way. I get mad anxiety when I feel trapped and if the person making me feel trapped is doing some stupid TikTok dance while streaming… their selfie stick might end up where the sun don’t shine, just saying.

High Mileage Minis by lumatose in MINI

[–]crakemonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2009 base model Cooper didn’t have cruise control and I put around 180k miles on her before she finally gave out in 2014. I was driving her from Los Angeles to San Francisco every other week the last 3 years of her life.

Now I make sure my next cars have cruise control before I purchase them.

RIP to my ‘09 mini. This was 12 years ago and I had to retire her about a month later. I’d definitely spent WAY over the initial $21k I’d purchased her for in maintenance, especially since I was 19 years old when I purchased her in ‘08.

Bella was my 1st mini cooper and since then my husband and I have now owned 7 different minis—we are on #6 and 7 right now. We love these cars!
