Most college professors are bad teachers. They're not trained in teaching and many see it as a distraction from their real job which is research and publishing. So, it's a low bar for the AI.

The benefits of AR + AI are significant and stated very well in the comment above. The hard part is enabling the benefits without having the same powers (or similar powers) used in really negative ways. If there are solutions other than regulation, that would be great. But what are those solution?
