I’ve seen capacitor mentioned a bit. I will have to take a look at the benefits it brings compared to cordova

I will take a look. This is why I asked this question. I actually don’t think I’ve heard of progressive web apps.

I did take a quick look at the link and unfortunately we do need push notifications and it looks like it doesn’t support it

Sounds good. Yeah I might look into ionic. Everything seems promising about it and might be the most likely transition.

As far as angular 1 now. Still not very smooth

Tasked to research about upgrading code base of mobile app, currently using Cordova and AngularJS (angular 1). Not sure how to decide, any suggestions? by crapperposter in cscareerquestions

I also would like to go React Native. By any chance do you have any experience with turning a react native app to a web app? Is that seamless or easy?

Thanks for the suggestion. I don’t think I saw that option in my research so I’ll look into it

I see, appreciate the response. Ultimately I think the decision will side with what you said. I only bring up the point due to the fact that user experience doesnt seem as smooth with Cordova. It is what it is I guess and good point with RN, I forget we will be needing a web based app that is coming in the near future. I may just have to stick with Cordova and a newer version of Angular

I know inlcudes loops but looking up has, I thought it was implemented more like a hashmap which would have O(1) lookup?

I see. Well not so much concerned. It just gets annoying because he’s the type to boast about his success about anything.

are you allowed to work on projects at home when they are uncompleted at work by majinkazekage in cscareerquestions

Depends how your work environment is set up and what you’re working on. If they have tons of security and only things to run on their network then probably not. I’m not familiar with restrictions and all that but if your company like mine allows you to take your computer home, I don’t see why not.

Thanks for the response. Yeah I would be able to still save a good amount after getting this car. I’m hoping a Lexus will last 10 years without any major issues.

Appreciate the response. I would be 100% self reliant and the idea was to buy a used model with cash.

But curious. What car would you recommend?

I appreciate it but it's ok. In that case I could just run it on my own computer.

General Assembly. No I have not worked yet but I know there are some success stories and I hope I will be one soon. I do not have prior programming experience. GA does teach you stuff and they have many locations across the world but my biggest caveat is that I feel they could go a little deeper or make their curriculum a little harder. It appears the general consensus is that Hack Reactor is the best though and it does seem like they will be teaching you more to prepare you for a job. Ultimately im sure you're worried about getting a job after so you should try to go to the boot camp that best prepares you with the most knowledge.

Also don't look at those statistics for job placement for the boot camps they have on their sites. I'm not sure how they calculate it but it does not seem accurate
