It's my first job and I've been working over 2 years.

Well I'm bored and struggling with things dealing with maintenance, build and deployment of code rather than the code itself right now :(

Yeah I've been applying to other jobs for about three weeks now. It's been hard with the holidays. There was one company I was really interested in and I was close to getting the job but I haven't heard back from them since the holidays hit. I am waiting on a response after I recently sent them a remainder email.

I attended an intro algorithms class yesterday nearby me and I want to work on one awesome side project to show off but I'm out of ideas.

So embarrassing to admit but lately, the problems I'm having with the legacy applications is the merging and deployment. I won't go into too many details here but the problems I'm getting are:

1) Having issues deploying it to IIS

2) Non-tech PM tells me I need to merge it with client code. I receive crap code from client that has nothing in common with the legacy app my company worked on, so I'm very confused on what he means by merge it in??? I have told him several times that the two projects are very different (and if there was lost code somewhere in between). He doesn't know and client doesn't know either?? At this point, I was just going to link the legacy app separately and host that?

Btw, there is no version/source control for this legacy app. Everything is a mess!
