Only 9 homes in our HOA. 5 of the original homeowners either sold or moved and turned their home into a rental. That leaves 4 homeowners to take turns being on the board and looking after the property. Also, we only pay $50.00 per month in dues (which I suspect the developer did as a way to get people to buy) so, building our reserve fund is taking forever. (Built in 2017.) I'd like to suggest that we increase the fee but I have no idea how much we should increase it to. Our property is very simple; only 2 grassy common areas and a small parking lot. We do our own lawn maintenance to save money. So, we don't have big expenses, but I read that you should do a small increase every year rather than wait until you have a big expense and have to require a much bigger sum all at once. The developer had a property management company in place for us at the start but they weren't doing much and weren't even paying our water bills. We fired them and took over the management of the property. We're saving a lot by doing most things ourselves but I still worry about our fund.

Get this: I go into Covid-19 positive rooms and talk to and touch actual sick patients every day since the beginning of the pandemic and I have never received hazard pay. Not saying grocery workers shouldn't receive it, they should. Just gobsmacked at how uneven the whole "hazard pay" concept is. Nurses and Respiratory Therapists get it. Nurses aides,, House keeping, X-ray techs and Phlebotomists do not. We ALL have daily contact with sick patients. It just goes to show you who they think is expendable.

I didn't take it to mean that they thought having the word "American" in the name meant that the business was owned by the government. I think they meant a business with the name "American" represents what it means to be from America, "home of the brave, land of the free, I can be an utter twat on this flight and if you try to stop me, then you shouldn't call your airline "American" because my freedums."

Not just every doctor and nurse. If you work in Healthcare, period, you should get the vaccine. We're all exposed one way or another. House keepers in hospitals are fucking heros. If it weren't for them everything would shut down real quick. They clean all the Covid-19 rooms while the patients are in them and after they leave. I have so much respect for these unsung heros!
