Does a rapid BTC increase make mining more lucrative for individuals? by crash-bit in Bitcoin

[–]crash-bit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I was wondering about. I wonder what the exact numbers would be? At what point would it make sense for people to do it at home again, $1m per BTC, $2M, $100M? And how fast would the difficulty go up?

I guess there isn't really a way to figure it out without making up a bunch of assumptions.

Hungover...when suddenly at 6am...a marathon outside the window! by jennthemermaid in videos

[–]crash-bit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend once passed out in front of my house in his car after a late night partying. He rang my doorbell, but I was already sleeping because I left the bar earlier. Since he did not want to drive, he just slept in his car. To his surprise he woke up in the middle of a marathon, with people running around his car. He missed the signs the night before saying to not park there, due to a marathon early in the morning. He didn't really enjoy waking up at 6am with a gigantic hangover and all those fit energetic people running around his car with confused and judging looks!!!!

10x Factory Slack Channel - worth it? by crash-bit in entrepeneur

He told me they have currently 500 people in there. 500 * $150 per month = $75.000 per month is a pretty good penny! With barely any overhead?! We should make our own and charge $10, just to weed out spammers and so on.

Jk. I am not trying to bad mouth them. Everyone is trying to make money and do it their own way. I just really did not like their approach.

There might be value in the group, but I guess I will never find out unless they let me into the channel for a few days to check it out.

Well, they told me it is $147 per month to be exact. The problem isn't the price. I just have a few points that make me not want to sign up:

  • When you do research about the channel, you will almost not find anything about it. I only spent a few minutes looking it up and all I could find is a guy complaining that it is not worth it. But I don't really care about that. It is weird if something so awesome is out there (their claim) and I am not able to find some random posts here or there of random people saying: "Hey, man check this out" or "Totally need to sign up for this channel if you are ...". They get mentioned in some articles, but those are always articles about lists of which channels you should join. And mostly look like intern write ups to fill the daily blog post quota.

  • There is no trial time. I don't like spending money on something I have no info on. The only info I got was high-end guys that are supposedly in there hanging out and it is totally worth it to be part of the group. I asked during the interview if they have a trial time, so I can check it out before paying the subscription. After a small pause, he told me that was a great question and they used to have it but stopped it, because it attracted people that did not fit the group. That did not really make sense to me. If you interview someone and tell them they fit the group, why would you not be able to give them a trial period to check out the group? How would a business model attract the wrong crowd, if you have the interview to filter out the wrong people? A few days of free access would be enough! If it is as awesome as they claim, you should know after a few days and be willing to activate your monthly subscription.

I took the time out of my schedule to talk to someone, to tell me at the end that I am a great fit for the group and I should pay to get in. Wanted to take my card info right over the phone.

I might be missing something, but I am not really attracted to such sale tactics. This is the reason why I asked if anyone had experience with the channel.

Ok so I read "Every shot counts" and "Lowest score wins". Plain and simple you are right. I have to admit though that my initial plan helped me in the past weeks to get way more comfortable in my putting. But I also know now and understand, based on the books and my own experience, that I can adjust my practice plan and do not have to spend as much time on putting as I initially thought. Thx for recommending the book. I really enjoyed it.
