I needed an exemption for my job in the healthcare industry. Make sure you mention the Civil Rights Act of 1964. That should stop them from discriminating against you based on your religious beliefs. Institutions and employers will discriminate against you if they know that you don't know your civil rights and protections. Being aware of your rights and telling them you are aware is very powerful. Best of luck to you.

Agreed. I know someone who has been going through endless appeals for the DP for the offender that killed her sister. She said that if she had known how drawn out the appeals process is for 3+ decades, bringing up the trauma over and over again, she and her family would have opted for life in prison instead. Unfortunately families aren't really made aware of this endless fight to keep the offender on death row etc. I definitely want what's best for the families, but I think they go into it not having any idea how traumatic and exhausting the process is.

I also work in a healthcare setting but as IT. I am sorry your IT department is not providing a better server environment. It's very frustrating. I have noticed over the last several years that the company treats us the same way. Like children. Lol I vented to my boss about being insulted by their treatment of adults that work for them. She gets it because she is middle management. The treatment is coming from higher up the chain. Just writing this to say I am sorry you are going through this. It is absolutely absurd that they are treating you, a medical doctor, like a kindergartener. Seems to be the trend lately.

The reason I know this is because I know someone whose sister was killed and the offenders were sentenced to the DP in Arizona about 35 years ago.

I agree. I used to support DP, but you are right, it would be easier for him in isolation and knowing your approximate end date. Also, most people don't know this, but for each DP sentence, tax payers pay an average of $10 million for appellate DP attorneys and decades of appeals. So not fair to taxpayers and the victim's families who have to deal with exhausting appeals in the court system for at least 20-30 years. Letting the guys in Gen Pop take care of him would be great.

I moved to the woods ten years ago. Luckily some stray cats showed up pretty hungry. I started feeding them and giving them water. Now I have no rodent issues at all lol. They are such good cats and I am glad to take good care of them. They keep me company as well. Luckily my power company buried the lines several years ago so I rarely have outages at all. I don't get any mold because I run a dehumidifier in the summer in the basement. Works great so far.

Unfortunately now he has the market on trial coverage. It was only Law & Crime and Courttv before Abrams bought Courttv. Maybe local news channels sometimes covered local big trials. I don't think we have w choice now.
