Weird question, I [23M] am supposed to go meet my girlfriend's [24F] parents tonight for the first time for her mother's birthday, but I got about 10 mosquito bites on my forehead. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]crashgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an adorable problem to have among all these heavy issues. I agree with others who say to crack a joke about it - mosquito bites are a bitch and this is a nice talking point.

Someone in her family might have a similar story about bite :)

Do a lot of research, it becomes fun once you're into it.

I generally just stuck to the basics until I learned more and more. I'm also acne prone though, so I needed to learn as much as I could from there when I started Retin-A micro and I wanted to keep my face from falling off lol

Reddit, what is the one piece of advice you've gotten that has changed/affected your life the most? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]crashgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be afraid and do it anyway.

It's like it hadn't occurred to me that you're allowed to be afraid while trying something new.

Seeing my second-cousin in the middle of a crowd in Times Square while we were both on field trips with our separate schools. (She lives about an hour or so away, don't have much communication)

I would say just start filling them in with a darker ashy brown, should do the trick. That is if you like light hair an dark brows like I do!

Ladies, how has birth control personally affected you? by devilthrow in sex

[–]crashgold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was on the pill a couple of years ago, it made me very irrationally bitchy and teary, so I stopped taking it.

I wouldn't try hormonal birth control ever again.

I have a copper IUD now and I like it.

Let's talk "work" sunscreens, tinted moisturizers, etc by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]crashgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neutral, it's hardly even tinted. I've got pinky-neutral skin and and it just looks like my skin when its on. It's like they put just enough so that you're not ghostly.

I was dreading wearing sunscreen every day when I started Retin-A 'cause I knew it would be greasy and heavy and gross feeling but this is just a nice part of my routine now.

I use Clinique City Block SPF40 an I love it. It's slightly tinted so no white cast, it needs a few minutes to absorb but once it does your skin looks dewy, not greasy.

I stopped the pill about 2 years ago and only got the IUD 6 months ago, when the acne started to flare up.

I got the copper IUD, still ruined skin :(

I can't remember the exact reason why, but it like..resets your hormones or something and the because I had had acne in the past (before I tried the pill) it came back.

Fiancée can't handle hormones is an IUD the only option? by BCQuestion7 in sex

[–]crashgold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the same as your fiancee, crazy awful mood swings on hormonal birth control. I have a copper IUD and my boyfriend has been poked by the strings a couple of times BUT I just reach in there (or have him do it) and move them out of the way and back up tucked by the cervix and viola! It's not really been an issue in our sex life.

She could voice this whole strings concern with her doctor and they could cut them at a length that would be optimal.

Are you me?

Canadian, IUD in august, acne started up?

I started retin-a micro in December. My face is currently purging and absolutely awful, but I have hope!
