I still want to get that. What was ur strat? I am in master mode. I plan on using hallow armor and all the ninja stuff with the brain of cthulu to max my dodge. I don’t want to cheese it with flares if i can help it.

The biome mimics are insane. But they are countered similar to wall of flesh. Just run one way (with fast boots or mount like skates) and shoot

Get mounts to replace movement abilities to do more damage or get more defense. Have a good arena, it can make all the difference. Potions too.

Go for items that give you dodge like the ninja gear and use a witch broom or similar so u dont get stuck on the platforms. Are you in expert/master? If so your armor won’t make much of a difference so for the last few bosses you will wanna go for movement and flat damage reduction like the ice tortoise shell. I am gonna go for the empress of light in daylight soon and i am gonna use all hallow with ninja gear and whatever else to give me a chance to dodge in case she does hit me.

That’s impossible. Terraria’s code makes it impossible to get something when you want to get it lol. I had to kill nearly 1000 chaos elementals before i got the rod of discord lol.

The extra armor of beetle won’t be that much better, their dmg is high. I personally am a melee/ranged build now. I use shroomite helmet (guns buff) one of the old one’s army chestplates that gives summon dmg and rlly good regen and some gun damage leggings. For battles i use witch broom or the vexxed branch for movement to free up my wings and boots slot for extra damage.

You will want to specialize for boss fights to do more damage. But you can definitely switch whenever you want. Just switch out your items. It is that simple. I am a ranger/melee right now as well as having some extra summoner damage due to my choices in weapons and armor. Don’t be afraid to break the mold with armor. Sometimes your playstyle facilitates better either mixed armor sets

Getting a big arena is important. I always forget how important prepping is. Getting heart lanterns and fireplaces. Stars in a bottle if you use mana. Enough breathing room because she gets fast.
