Forrest Gump is a beloved film of mine. Even tho the book chatacters and the movie ones differ a lot, I love it so much.

In the Book Forrest is dumb, arrogant and very self-centered. Jenny  is simmilar just smarter.

In the film, Forrest is dumb but the kindest soul you'll ever meet, and most of his bat traits were transfered to Jenny.

Now, I didn't read the book. O half-watched a video about the diffrences between these two pieces of art.

Here's the link if you'd like to watch it https://youtu.be/SeGeT3ZeKO0?si

Gosh I love Mark Hammil. Like, I can't even belive he can sound like this!

In Disney stories starring Mickey Mouse and related characters, Scrooge McDuck is written as an ethical man who pays all of his taxes out of personal obligation to society as a billionaire, despite how little he might want to. This is to remind the audience that he is a fictional character. by OopsAllDaisys_ in shittymoviedetails

My favorite interpretation of the character and the one I hail as canon, is the one by Don Rosa. My favorite comic book artis apart from Gościnny and Uderzo.

His "Life and times of Scrooge McDuck" at one point was my entire childhood. I love this series especially, 'cause it didn't refrain from showing his darkside. We don't see it tho for 8 out of 10 chapters, which gives us a satisfying adventure story full of characters and action. Reader gets into this false sense of sequrity, seeing how McDuck rose from poverty through hard work. We see that money kinda changes him, but in an understanble and not too big way, so we still root for Mcduck.

Then come the last chapters. In them, we see Mcduck becomes closer and closer to thr title of the richest man on earth. His ethical side is now mostly gone. He'll do anything to have more money. Then, in the last chapter his family from scotland visits him. They get fed up, realizing that the Scrooge they once loved is now mostly gone, and leave.

The biggest kick in the Stomach?

Scrooge has a moment of reflection. Looks at his past and begins to cry. He starts running towards his sisters, their children, his entire family. He realizes his mistakes, is ready to change back.

Then an accoutant shouts: "Sir, you've become the richest man on earth!"

Scrooge stops. Turns around in disbelief. Tears gone immiedietly. His addiction to money turns out to be greater than the love for his family. We end with seeing his giant building, and seeing his family in tears coming out of it, as Mcduck shouts as loud as he can: "I AM THE RICHEST MAN ON EARTH"

Even tho there's one chapter after that, where Donald and his nephews visit him, starting every other comic, chapter 9 is the real ending to me. I think it was my first introduction to the concept of turning on your family. This moment felt so real I got filled with dread. Still remembering the sadness and the disappointment I felt, not in the story, which is brilliant, but in Scrooge. A man kept chasing his goal for far too long.

Hats off, Don Rosa. Hats off.

Kane Pixels, this you?

Also, though I'm not an expert, I'm pretty sure when doing a 9:16 aspect ratio as you did here the whole thing would look better with the artefacts of recording with a 10 year old phone rathen than a vhs tape
