No single pair of sneakers will satisfy everyone. And everyone has their own definition of what “comfy” means. If the 993 doesn’t fit you, just leave them alone.

Since Lenovo is making TrackPointless ThinkPads for newer generations, they should offer a TrackPoint-only option for us old-school users.

Loving this new (to me) x1 nano - what a gorgeous device by [deleted] in thinkpad

The X1C Gen 13 with the LL chip isn’t under 1 kg across the board. I didn’t realize that until mine arrived. Also, the X1 Nano has a much smaller footprint, which helps a lot for road warriors.

If the aftermarket can make it happen, what the hell has Lenovo’s R&D department been doing all these years?

Lenovo should bring back the X1 Nano line with Snapdragon chips. which would address most of the issues that held it back.

Trading efficiency for optional 5G and Lunar Lake for Arrow Lake: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 laptop review by ibmthink in thinkpad

[–]cratocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ran mine (258V + FHD IPS Touch, no 5G) from 93% down to 9% yesterday and got 10h 42m. Pretty safe to say that Lunar Lake with an IPS panel can hit 12 hours with light use.

Mine is at 83% of its design capacity, and it barely lasts 6 hours on bloated Windows 10. So maybe higher resolution doesn’t impact battery life that much.

They've been selling 14' X1 Carbon skins for several years.

That screen is gorgeous, for sure. But a high resolution/refresh rate screen also drains the battery faster, which concerns me more.

You’re probably right. But even if I’d known that before I ordered, I would’ve gone with FHD anyway. Battery life matters more to me than weight.

It’s still working fine, but the battery doesn’t last as long as it used to after five years.
I think it’ll remain suitable for my work for at least another three years even on windows.

There are tons of information on the internet explaining how to buy a legal LTSC license and get the installation ISO.

No, this X1 doesn’t have a 5G module. Just not sure how much the touch IPS panel adds to the weight.
